This trip was more of a scouting experience for future adventures with the kids. Camp host Dutch was great! He was attentive, active, patient and friendly. Verizon has absolutely no service but AT&T did have a chance. The site was clean, the bathrooms immaculate and always stocked. We ventured more out in surrounding towns rather than the actual park. We do plan on taking the kids to experience the beach and fishing.

We had a wonderful time. The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. The sites were huge and level. They were very clean and well maintained.

This was a very pleasant experience. We dont have jacks on our RV so the basically flat packed site was very nice

Love camping here. But I would suggest avoiding summer weekends and holidays, when day-use of the lake area is very high. The campground is very pleasant, especially on weekdays. Enjoy the trails around BOTH lakes.

A beautiful setting and the best-maintained grounds and facilities we have seen in any Federal campground. Hosts were welcoming, friendly, and hard-working. Each campsite parking pad was very level, and hosts meticulously raked the coarse sand pad prior to campers' arrivals. The campground was very quiet, and we never saw a single piece of litter or any pet waste during our stay. There are many trails and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other attractions are nearby. The lake itself is pristine, and in summer, a great place to swim kayak or canoe.

Very nice park with large and level sites. Poor signage.

Very nice campground. Good sized sites well spaced. Toilets/ shower well maintained and clean. Close to skyline drive.
