Nice spacious, level spots. Very helpful, friendly camp hosts. I had 3 reservations- the first I had to leave a day early due to engine trouble. The 2nd/3rd I had to switch to 2 different sites to be able to stay 6 consecutive days. I wish you didn't have to pay the extra reservation fee to extend your stay.

Lots of shade. Nice to walk along the water. A bit difficult to back into the spot with a large trailer off of the narrow road.

Have stayed there before. This time was just as enjoyable except the flies were much larger (almost horse fly size) and the mosquitoes were terrible.

Stayed 2 nights in March. Very nice campground, Sites have good distance between them but few trees. Bathrooms dated but serviceable. No see-ums were tough at sunset! Would definitely stay there again.

Buck Hall was very relaxing. We enjoyed watching the boats travel down the IC.The staff was extremely helpful when someone was in one of our reserved spots for our family vacation. I cannot wait to return.

Great campsite, nice area and water nearby. We saw a dolphin! Only mark down would be for the aging bathroom facilities, but also it says they will be renovating them soon. We would stay here again when we come back to the Charleston area.

Excellent location next to intercoastal waterway. Right in the middle of what was the economic hub of our country in its early years. Close to Georgetown, Charleston and McClellanville there is plenty to keep you active. Youre also at in the heart of Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. Consider visiting the Center for Birds of Prey Avian Conservation Center while in the area. If you love nature history or outdoor water activities youll be right at home camping here. So much to do and enjoy in this beautiful area.

This was our first timer visiting a Corp of Engineers park, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were very pleased with the facilities and especially the excellent camp hosts who met us upon arrival. Despite some flooding the day before we got there, the campground was open, accessible, and thoroughly enjoyable. We certainly plan on staying here again in the future!

The place is amazing, very quiet nice folks. The views are spectacular. The camp hosts are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Shame you can't stay any longer than 14 days without leaving for 30 days...

It was very rainy and cold, but with the cement pads instead of gravel and with the up keep of the facilities and very helpful hosts, it was a very good experience. Mount Pleasant and Charleston are close and I always enjoy both cities. I always attempt to locate CORE or Federal Forestry campgrounds as they are the best.

Unfortunately, because of the extreme heat --too hot to walk, too hot to fish, and our pet was panting horribly so we left several hours after we arrived and returned home. However, we found the site pleasant and beautifully set up with water and electricity and was sorry to leave. I would recommend Buck Hall Recreation Campground to anyone in the months of fall, spring, and even our mild winters!

Spacious, level sites sites with views of the ICW in the distance. Campground was quiet despite being full when I visited. Campground is adjacent to a nice boat landing and has direct access to The Palmetto Trail.

Buck Hall is a beautiful peaceful place right on the intracoastal waterway. We enjoyed the lunar eclipse over the water on our last night. Love that the sites are spacious and are paved. We stayed in Site #7 in a 25ft travel trailer. There was plenty of room for both the trailer and pickup truck on the paved pad. Received local channels over the air and good cell phone service Verizon and AT&T Restrooms are dated but clean except for the insects that enter. There is no a/c in the bathhouse so the doors are left open 24/7. Places we visited are Hopswee Plantation, Hampton Plantation, Birds of Prey in Awendaw, Palmetto Trail for a hike (trail entrance by campsite #3 and the picnic area), Old Santee Canal Park in Berkley county.

Great location. Beautiful campground
It would be better if their was heater in the shower. Easy to get into town to sightsee.

Buck Hall is a very spacious, relaxing and scenic play to stay. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. There was a weather advisory and the camp hosts informed every camper personally. The Palmetto Trail begins/ends here. Great for hiking and bicycling.
