This is such a nice, small, tranquil campground with spacious sites. We enjoyed walking the trails and watching the boats on the intracoastal. Hope to come back again!

Sites are fine but bathrooms are in serious need of attention

I was pleasantly surprised on how quaint the campground was upon arrival. I went to my site and an RV was already parked in the spot. I realized I had made a mistake and reserved the spot for the following night. I panicked and started searching for the host, none, they had an emergency and had to leave. I could not determine what spots were available and was on the verge of panic since it was an hour before sunset. Along came a ranger, Miss Jo Wanda drove up and listened to me on what happened. She calmly said she could help me and next thing, I had a spot. Relief. Im too old to drive when it gets dark. I could not thank her enough and appreciate her kindness. My doggies and I thank you. I loved the peaceful quietness of Buck Hall. Our campsite#2 was spacious and absolutely perfect. We enjoyed riding our bikes, watching the boats pass by as well as the deer and squirrels in the area, and exploring the local sites and amenities. We will be back soon. My husband says he has a new favorite campground there at Buck Hall.

Great location, clean grounds, good boat landing. The bathhouse rates a 2.

Nice camp site. The nats were terrible. We cut our visit short by five days because of them. We couldnt sit outside without being bitten. I got over 40 bites in three days.

Everything was calm and quiet on our quick overnight stay. Thought it strange we were only one with a campfire. Took our bikes on short tide through trails. Bathrooms and property clean and maintained. Camp hosted met with us soon after arrival. We were van camping and decided not to set up our tent which she told us was against rule. Suspicion is thrown upon campers with no setup using campground with ulterior motives. Glad they are on guard! We were told in warmer months the campground is full with fishermen and boats and can be much louder. Glad we came through in February.

The campsites were spacious and level with a view of the intercoastal waterway. There were some lovely old large trees next to my site which would have added welcome shade in the heat of summer. There was nice hiking/walking trails. This is a hidden gem. I definitely plan on returning.

My husband and I love this campground. It is peaceful.. The bathrooms were clean. It is right on the Intercoastal waterway. We love watching the boats and fishing. The camp hosts were friendly. It is a beautiful spot close to our home.

We love Buck Hall. It has a quiet atmosphere. Great location to just chill or to visit Charleston. I enjoy just sitting by the water fishing and watching the beautiful boats go by.
I wouldn’t suggest it for small kids however. There is little to entertain them.
On this visit our Host was the best couple and the park showed it. Clean and neat. No litter and the bathhouse was cleaner than I’ve ever seen it.

A quiet, laid back campground. Bathroom are adequate. Spaces are well spread apart. We had a great breeze coming off the water. Loved watching all the boats coming in and out the water way. No planned activities just a large area with some shade to relax and unwind.

We camped in a motorhome on Site 2 the last weekend of February 2021. I had never been to Buck Hall before and for some reason - maybe because it was in the national forest - I had expected a bare bones camping experience, possibly in an open field with electricity and little else. But I was wrong! It is a truly beautiful campground. There were trees for shade, plenty of elbow room between the campsites, cement parking pads, solid picnic tables, fire ring, and electrical and water hookups that were user-friendly and well-maintained. In fact everything in the campground was trimmed, clean, and well-maintained. We met the camp hosts and saw them at work several times during our stay. The park has a wonderful view of the intracoastal waterway with benches along the sea wall to sit and enjoy the view. Enough boating activity to be interesting to watch, but the boat landing itself was far enough away for any noise from that direction to be negligible. Traffic noise from Highway 7 was barely noticeable as well. It was a very relaxing weekend for the two of us. We definitely look forward to coming back in the future.

Very nice campground. Stayed on site #2, didn't even have to level our trailer! Even though the weather wasn't totally ideal it was still a nice trip. Planning on coming back again.

Nice quiet campground

Lovely little park, very clean and well kept, scenic views. We were looking for a quiet get-a-way and this fit nicely. Charleston and Sullivan’s Island are close and offer nice beaches, great eats and sightseeing.
