The campground is a mess. Sites are not being blown or swept off prior to arrival, the fire pit was full of ashes and the grass is 8 tall in some spots. I never saw the host, most of the time it did not appear that they were even staying in their site as no vehicle other than the rv was there. The bathroom hand dryer is also not working. I do understand that Buck Hall is due for a makeover but with a full campground it should be better taken care of. Law enforcement needs to be aware that a campers has been in the back of the over flow lot for at least a month, set up but never anyone there. There is also a make shift fire pit back there where someone has been squatting. Campers are also not abiding by the one wheel on the blacktop with respect to vehicles and a camper in a tent even set up and camped down by the fishing pier.

We were so happy to meet the new hosts. The fire-pits were clean, campsites has no litter and the trees that scraped the tops of the campers had been trimmed back. Restroom doors were fixed for privacy and warmth in the cold weather snap.

Most sites have a huge shade tree which is nice and water spigots. I mention this because the website does not say water is provided. The parking pads are blacktop with dirt around them, hopefully the upcoming renovation will even them out a little bit. I bring my boat to the park so in water dockage would be nice but an enforced no wake zone would have to be set up of course. A boat rinse facility would be great also. All in all this is a great place to camp and recreate. Look forward to seeing what the renovation brings.

Nice quiet campground. Plenty of room. Nice view of the river. I would give it 5 stars except check-in was sketchy. No real way to check in. The camp host was "off duty" and our name was not on the campsite. It all worked out, but it could have been done a lot better.

Great spot on the waterway. Nice large spots and a good boat ramp. Starting point for the Palmetto trail.

I arrived at my reserved campsite on the day I was scheduled to arrive to find another camper using my site. They knowingly had taken my site know that it was reserved for someone else stating they had a health condition that needed the use of electricity. The camp host was not at their site and could not get any help to have the person move from my site. There were no other electric sites available at the park. I had to leave and find another place to stay on a dark, rainy night. Why have a reservation system if it cannot be honored or enforced?

Nice Campground, but very difficult to get a camp site because of the booking policy.

It was probably the quietest campground we ever stayed at, and we've been cross I Uh country twice. Bath house needs to be totally redone, the hosts due there best keeping it up, but you can only polish a turd so much.

We had to leave due to the park closing because of the potential hurricane threat. We were supposed to be refunded and have not received the refund. We do love camping at Buck Hall and feel like since we were not given a choice, we should be refunded for our camping trip.

We had a good time. Sites have good space from each other, it's a relatively small campground and I like that. The view is pretty. Bathroom are clean. We stay in site #9, it had electric and water hook ups and enough shade.

Grass was nicely mowed. Ants were being killed. Nice size lots. Easy (boat) access to the International Waterway. Small size campground. No store on campground. Campground bathroom/shower was cleaned everyday we were there.

The grass around the campgrounds needed to be mowed as it was at least a foot tall in most areas and gave the mosquitoes & no-see-ums a place to thrive. We never saw the camp host our entire visit. This could be a beautiful campgrounds if it was better maintained.

We stayed at Buck Hall for 10 days and while it was a nice and very quiet campground there was a big problem. Unbeknown to us, the camp host had been hospitalized and as a result, the bathrooms received no service whatsoever and in fact ran totally out of toilet paper; campers were having to supply their own. Now I realize the camp host is not at fault here; someone in charge should have sent a fill in to cover the area until the camp host was recovered. The shower stalls need some serious revamping; once you have the water flowing, everything in the stall gets wet. There is no place that remains dry to put one's clean clothes. The sites are spacious and you don't have a close by neighbor; there is shade. We got to see a bald eagle perched across the Canal almost every day and once we saw a dolphin in the Canal.

This is a nice area and very well-maintained. The sites are a little too close together for my taste but thats what you get in campgrounds sometimes. It was nice to see the boats going by on the intercoastal waterway.

Buck Hall is a great little campsite and a good stop over place as you journey up or down the coast.
Interesting salt water venue to visit and a very unique facility. Small camp area and ramps. Always something interesting passing by and the dolphin play is exciting.

The campground host was unreachable over the course of 3 days. I reserved a site for 36 dollars with electricity and upon arrival someone was already parked in our site and refused to leave. We were forced to find free camping elsewhere. I used the restroom before leaving and they were absolutely filthy. I'd give it another try but not while under the care of that host.

This was our first time to Buck Hall. The campground is nicely set-up, with plenty of space between sites. Very clean. Will definitely keep this campground on our "go back again" list.
