Peaceful and quiet, some road noise but not bad. Hosts were present but unobtrusive and the bathrooms got a thorough cleaning daily.

Very nice FS campground. Restrooms & showers were mostly clean but could use a little more TLC. Site 7 has been repaired and is not washed out as another reviewer stated however, I agree that it would be a tight fit for a camper trailer. This site is also very close to the restrooms.

The weather was perfect and Lester the host kept the place very clean from the bathrooms to the campsites. There is hiking, fishing, and a shooting range near by. Plenty of places to find or buy firewood. Highly recommend for the spring or fall.

Great place. Clean camp sites; bathrooms were clean; showers were great. We will be using this campground yearly for our trip up. There is no cell service at all. If you drive 1 mile in either direction on the hwy; we picked it back up, both AT&T and Verizon.

Decent little cg. Some excellent sites - 3,4,5 & especially 6 are level, large and convenient to the bath house. 15,16 are in a separate loop and very nice but are closer to highway so a bit louder but away from the small creek so less buggy. Sites 23 & 7 are not good for towables but the site details say they are. Cg hosts do good work keeping bath house okay but the sites could use some mowing or trimming. No cell coverage but reasonably close to Cashiers, NC and some decent trout fishing.

A friend and I stayed at Cherry Hills Campground for two nights to participate in a Foothills Trail Conservancy guided hike. The facilities were nearly perfect, and particularly a Gold Star should be awarded to the campground host who was extremely helpful, generous, and kind.If there is any improvement I could suggest, it would be to make the campsites more hammock-friendly. Finding properly spaced trees was a little challenging, but all worked out well. Placing sturdy poles about 15 to 18 feet apart would be a relatively low-cost way of accomodating the growing number of hammock campers.I'm grateful to have places like Cherry Hills Campground available.
