Clean and quiet park. The sites are level. Clean restrooms. The park has the nicest and most helpful hosts weve ever experienced. Really wonderful people. Definitely would return and recommend this campground

I was only planning to stay for couple night's for doctors appointments. Has things dragged out the volunteers moved me around and accommodated me and changing schedule. I thank them.

One of the best Corp of Engineer parks I have ever stayed at. Well maintained, secure, quiet and clean restrooms. I enjoy my stay each time I stay.

Perfectly level campsites with great views of the river. The fishing pier is fantastic, and the bathrooms are very clean.

Excellent facility, friendly helpful staff, clean restrooms and great views of the lock/river and boat traffic. Lots of aquatic bird life to watch.

This was our second time staying here. We love the setting and the view of the river. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The comfort station is clean and. The showers are nice with good water pressure. The park hosts were great also!! Definitely will be coming back whenever were in the area!

We have been there 30 or 40 times every time they have a new host this time we were very disappointed. The man host approached me at the boat ramp along with the female host and asked me are you camping here? I said yes because my truck was parked where it said camper, the woman proceeds to tell me this is for campers and their boats only and I said we have a boat and trailer. Can we pull it in here to save the spot?. The man came up and said oh no!! I can’t let you do that , needless to say I was a little mad, but then he approaches my husband who has a wrench in his hand behind our boat and he said, what are you doing? You can’t work on your boats here. My husband calmly and politely said I’m putting my plug in the bottom of the boat is that OK , I am so upset I love going there. The hosts are always over bearing. We are adults. We know how to act and we’re respectful!!!

Very clean and quiet campground. Not much for children but excellent for adults. Small campground on river with nearly all waterfront sites.

Wonderful and well maintained location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Grounds campsites and restrooms were extremely clean. Enjoyed sour stay and will return.

Very nice, well kept campground. Sites are small, but placed on an angle to make it easier to back into your spot. Area to park your rig is concreted and the other area is gravel, thus no mud or sand. We had a large shade tree to sit under in the afternoon. Bathrooms are a bit dated, but they are kept clean. Showers have curtains to pull over which helps the other part of the floor dry. You can walk over to the pier area and fish if you like.
Nearby is Caloosahatchee Regional Park with walking and biking trails. Alva has a Dollar General and a Diner. Very quiet at night, except for some distant traffic sounds.

We loved W.P. Franklin campground. It was immaculate throughout, well kept grounds, wonderful campsites and a beautiful view of the river. We can't wait to go back and spend time there as it is so relaxing and quiet. We stayed at #14 for 3 nights. Camphost Walter and Pat are so helpful and so nice.

The campground is well maintained with beautiful water views. Perfect spot for relaxation, kayaking, birding, fishing & wildlife-manatees & dolphins. Super nice camp hosts & Rangers. Looking forward to our next visit.
