well, i'm a paralyzed person in a wheelchair, but i reserved non-disabled site 11. the stones were difficult in the wheelchair, but workable. i enjoyed just staying in the site!! the hosts, stan and deb were wonderful!

This was an exceptionally nice clean, well kept campground. Quiet & peaceful setting, very relaxing with a nice view of the river. Restrooms were clean as well. We will definitely be coming here often.

One of our favorite parks! All waterfront clean level spots. Excellent value. Park attendants are great. A little tight pulling in with the picnic table roof so go slow. Fishing was fun just wish I had hooked that slot Snook!

We enjoyed our time @ W P Franklin. We stayed there 3 nights and the campground was very clean and well maintained. The staff we met were helpful and very nice and the bathrooms were very clean. It 's awesome to have almost all waterfront sites at this campground. It is near enough to many activities and Fort Myers.We would stay again

My wife and I love the place and only wish we could stay longer. It's close to everything in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Pine Island and Sanabel. It is also very quiet and is right next to the river.

Nice campground, sites are paved with a covered picnic table in a gravel covered patio area. All the sites are on the water, but water out for gators! Located near Fort Meyers so there is plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options. There is a fishing pier, and depending on the host you are also allowed to fish from your site. The rule for this is unclear, different rules stated by the 2 hosts. It should be clear and consistent where you are allowed to fish.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was our first time there. The staff oriented us to the campground and made sure we had all the information we needed.

Our favorite campsite by far. Yes, there many things to do in the surrounding area but we prefer to stay close and enjoy our campsite.

It was our first time at this Campground. We live just up the road in Arcadia and decided to take a 2 night trip to make sure everything was running alright before we head up North for a couple of months. We chose site #11 which is a pull-thru and parallels the Caloosahatchee River. What a great site ... We watched boats coming and going through the locks and saw birds hunting for fish. A very relaxing couple of days with great views. The staff at the office were very helpful and friendly when we arrived as well. We will definitely be coming back again. The entire Campground was well maintained.

It's a beautiful place. Lots of wildlife. We saw a manatee, porpoises, dolphins, schools of fish, night herons, little blue herons and eagles. It's quiet with spacious sites. We'll be back!!!

My husband and I have stayed at the WP Franklin locks campground twice now and it is simply awesome. The views are breath taking of the water ways and the facilities are always very well taken care of. Love this place and will be back to try out the kayaking next time!
