Friendly environment. Fairly clean restrooms.Used boat slip. Overgrown with vegetation. Hard to get into. Had to change slip from one reserved.

Our visit to Franklin Locks was the fourth time our Yacht club has had a three day outing at the boat slips. We have always had a great time and the volunteer staff and the Rangers have been very cooperative and friendly.
This year became a little confusing as we did not know that the policy of reserving the slips had changed. In the past you could only reserve four, but Ranger Rob would always reserve the other four for our club. Nevertheless, it worked out and all was well. I am glad the policy has changed as now all eight slips can be reserved.
We have one suggestion: There needs to be a trash container at the picnic tables near the boat slips.

We stayed at the dock and it was very nice, easily accessible. The park was clean well maintained. The staff were friendly, and helpful.

The camp host's and Park Ranger's were very helpful and more than willing to work with us. We have been going to W.P. Franklin for more than 10 yrs. and go back at least twice a year. We are boaters not campers and very much enjoy their docks and facilities. We were very disappointed to find out their laundry facilities were removed. Being on a boat with no vehicle this was a hardship on us as we have always counted on their laundry facilities. Again as a boater we have found that their computer system which seems to change constantly it takes multiple attempts to register as a walk in. The host's are very apologetic but it also take up their time. It has taken more than 40 minutes each attempt and they have to call for help. This has been a problem for most of the years we have been going to W.P. Franklin. We can not always make reservations as are travel is weather dependent. We will continue to go to W.P.Franklin annually as the people (host's) are very friendly and helpful. The park it self is always kept clean and neat. We highly recommend Franklin for both camping and boating.Phil and Karen Doucette
