We were thrilled to get into this COE campground in our 35 5th wheel. Very clean, easy access and gated at night. Stayed 3 nights in site #8 on canal.

We were there for 5 days and quickly realized we should have tried to reserve more time. Very helpful office staff, beautiful sites and clean. We tried to reserve more time but bery disappointed to hear the rest of the season was already full:(

We absolutely love camping here. Very well kept, clean and accommodating. Volunteer staff are awesome very friendly and there when you need them. Fishing is phenomenal and each campsite is just right for tossing your poles in trying to catch the big one! Lol

We absolutely love the W.P. Franklin campsite, and a big part of that is thanks to the amazing volunteer managers, Debbie and Stan! They keep this place in impeccable shape the facilities are spotless, the grounds beautifully maintained, and every detail clearly cared for. We even watched Stan spend over an hour thoroughly cleaning one site to make sure it was perfect for the next campers. That kind of pride and dedication is rare these days!Both Debbie and Stan are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. Their warmth makes this one of our favorite campgrounds to return to again and again.Huge thanks to Debbie and Stan, youre doing a bang-up job and setting the bar high for every campground team out there. Beautiful campground Easy and super friendly check in The place was very well kept Bathrooms were spotless The only suggestion is the rear handheld shower head in the womans restroom needs a new attachment it was broken All in all we give it a 10! We Will definitely come back :)

The location was peaceful, the water views beautiful, and the facilities were so well-maintained. Debbie and Stan made us feel right at home friendly, organized, and always around with a smile or a helpful hand. We still talk about how enjoyable this stay was. John & Karena

Our favorite campground of all. It is peaceful, relaxing and great waterfront sites. The campground host, Mike Shupbach, made it even better with his help and friendliness. A truly great camping experience. This was our fourth or fifth time there and already have a reservation to come back.

Hosts Dave & Deb were excellent. Andrew should NOT be hosting. Very unfriendly and rude at times. Even saw him being rude with a fisherman in front of his young son. Please do not let him come back here!

Another great stay. The staff was friendly and courteous. The west side rest rooms were clean and new shower curtains installed during our stay. The hurricane damaged roof was replaced with metal roof and overall the grounds looked great. The boat ramp was clear of growth and had a lot of business. Can't go wrong with this location !!!

The canal side of the island is MUCH windier than the cove side. I recommend tents on the cove side... Or just buckle down well.

I liked the campground because it was surrounded by water, most sites are waterfront. The bathrooms were clean with a fantastic hand dryer. Some of the negatives were the lot wasn't clean, a lot of cigarette butts in firepit and a used plastic oil container was thrown on the side of the lot by electrical outlet. I understand the hurricane tore the bathroom roof off but they were scattered in the back of the lot. P.S. groundkeepers should be equipped with battery powered trimmer, blowers rathers than smelling exhaust.
