We had a shared sight and everything was great. Beautiful space, picnic tables under cover and a grill and fire pit.

Very quite and well kept campground, clean restrooms centrally located in the campground. Camp host are amazing.

A lovely, quiet, and most pleasant campground, in keeping with the Corps traditions. We enjoyed camping over Christmas. Very highly recommended.

We have returned here several times, and were never disappointed. The campground is well kept and quiet. It is interesting to watch the folks fishing and boats going through the locks. Ft. Myers is an easy drive for a day trip, and LaBellle is closeby for supplies. The sunsets are spectacular. You wont be disappointed!

Very nice, small, quiet park. Chance to relax, see some astonishing wildlife. Park is a bit distant from a city for shopping or food. Be prepared to drive. We prefer just to hang and relax. Choice fishing on the river. We did drive to Okeechobee one night for a wonderful seafood dinner.

Wonderful, clean and quiet Campground. Nice shower house. Perfect place for riding our bikes and taking walks. A little disappointed we had to be back across the bridge from riding on the other side of the river by 4pm or would be locked out. Found a place nearby (The Glades) to golf.

First time at Ortona South, I had a nice relaxing time very clean, nice spacious sites, the caretaker Joyce couldnt have been more helpful with everything.

We had a great time at Ortona South Campground, we were on Site 42 a shared or buddy site. Our end of the site was not a bad site but at one end of the site the concrete was all broken as tree roots had lifted an broken the concrete creating a very bad tripping hazard as my wife tripped on the broken pieces several times. This needs to be addressed soon as someone will get hurt. We had the camp hoast come check it and they said they would let the ranger know. One end of the park has great water views, the other end of the park is also on the water but has bushes and small trees that block the water view. Over all we had a great stay for two weeks, rest rooms were always clean and camp hoast were very friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Grounds are always so well-maintained.Volunteers are efficient and very courteous.Always a pleasure to stay at Ortona, one of our favorite campgrounds.

The campsites are very nice. We stayed on site 42 which is a shared site with site 41. This worked fine for us. The separation was clear and not bothersome. Fire ants would be my only negative.

Ortona South was a campground that was so quiet and the Rangers were so friendly. The campground host were so personal and interested in how our camping experience was when we were checking our. Over all we can hardly wait to return again.

We were in #42 and it was a nice site. We would have liked it better if the view of the canal was not blocked by all of the trees and shrubs along the river bank. Also the dam walkway was closed which was disappointing. The park was very clean and the personnel were friendly
