Well kept campground. Large size paved sites. My only complaint is that the flood lights at the bathrooms are so bright during the night that it bothered my sleep.

Great kayaking on Telegraph Creek. Kayak rentals available. The campground has beautiful sun sets. Many species of birds. Otters, rabbits, fish. Very clean a well maintained. Friendly helpful staff.

Showers are very clean but campsite is not very private. You got houses across the lake from the campsites. That's the only thing I d not like Franklin locks where it's all private there

Wonderful campground, very clean, and great hosts. Labelle just down the road has plenty of shopping options and restaurant, coffee shops.

Quite camping on the river. Very peaceful setting far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very peaceful, & clean . Lots were very large and adequately space. Close to most stores at La Belle. Enjoy watching the boats going into and out of the lock at site 39. This site is very private with unobstructed view of the river and lock.We will return for another visit.

Had a canal lot. Very well maintained and good view of the boat traffic. Restrooms were older, but clean and more than adequate. We were visiting friends at a campground in Labelle and this was a perfect location. The access road has several 90 degree turns and is gravel. Slow driving is a must. Its also the access road to a gravel quarry, so be aware of dump truck traffic. The campground is not affected by the commercial traffic, just the approach. Well visit Ortona South again.

Park is quiet and active. Lots of fishing and walking. Great to watch the boats go by.

We’re from central FL so this was a great location to get closer to some things that are just a little far away for a day trip. Koreshan state park, JN Darling NWR on Sanibel island (so sad to see how much destruction they are still struggling with out there), Fakahatchee strand wildlife drive, Big Cypress and of course, Lake Okeechobee. The campground is very nice. My hubby caught a few fish and saw a manatee from the fishing dock. Bathrooms/showers were very clean.

The campground hosts and Ranger at Ortona stand out as the best weve seen; very friendly and helpful. Though this campground is in an area with little to do, the nearby town of LaBelle has sufficient resources for groceries, etc. We stayed 6 peaceful nights. Some biking options, though not extensive. Some interesting wildlife and boat traffic on the canal

Nice waterfront site. Saw several boats and yachts go by. Very clean facility and nice people. The closest grocery store is about 8-9 miles away. Cell service was hit and miss. Sometimes I got 5G, other times LTE. It depends on where you stand
