This is a great place for a stopover night. The site was very clean and with the concrete site very level. The view of the river and the boats going through the lock were very relaxing.

Edison/Ford museum in Fort Meyers was great. Labelle has a great brewery. Awesome sunsets and the campground was well taken care of. Will plan another trip there in the future.

This is my favorite Corp of Engineer campground to date. The many sites along the canal are well spaced, level and most all with a view of the boat traffic on the canal. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. Most of all I appreciate the camp host. She made sure that we were happy with our site selection and assisted when a change need to be made. She gets 5 stars for customer service.

Very nice park with very tidy facilities and a great setting with the river and locks. Internet and OTA TV worked fine. Attendants were very friendly.

This is a very peaceful place to come if you want a relaxing, quiet camping experience. The campsites are well maintained and the bathhouses are kept in good repair. The electric and water at each site work well. The bath house on the East end is much smaller and there is little privacy when showering. The West end facility is much larger. They are using a sub-contractor to clean the facilities, and for the most part they are kept up well. We did have to mention to the host about an issue with cleaning the facilities, but it was cared for the next day. Speaking of hosts, they are friendly and responsive to comments from guests. It would be nice if they had an on-site ice sales, but they are quite a ways out in the country so it might be hard to get a vendor to supply it. They now have a solar powered phone charger at each end. The site map showed a wi-fi station but we did not see it. There are repairs being made on some of the walkways and at the moment you are restricted from walking across the little bridge. If you just want to chill out (NOT referring to temps), come visit this facility and bring a good book.

We love this COE park. The only improvements that we think need to be made are to have the road coming in swept and pot holes filled. The dump trucks hauling sand/dirt really leave behind a lot of sand and have caused potholes in the road coming into the park. The other improvement that needs to be made are to update the bathrooms and showers. Also, there is not a trashcan in the restrooms which make it difficult to throw anything away.We enjoy biking in the park and out of the park to 80. Also, we ride across the dam and explore the subdivisions across the way. It is great watching the boats & yachts coming thru the locks. It is a treat to spot an eagle, too. This is our favorite COE park in Florida.

We loved it , plan to go back. The Goodwill workers do an outstanding job with the bathrooms and the lawn care. The hosts were always available for questions and knew all the good sites to see, where to get groceries and were on top of the sites to maintain them when campers left. Well run and like I said we plan to come back.

This was our second visit, but this time in our conversion van, so we used the dated but well maintained bathhouse on the East end, enjoying a hot shower and using the facilities. Love watching the boats passing through the locks, manatee playing and fishing from our site.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very well kept place with beautiful views and friendly people. We arrived the day before the scheduled government shutdown and we were warned wed probably have to leave the next day but thankfully that didnt happen and we enjoyed our stay. I think people didnt travel thinking they would be closed because we practically had the place to ourselves. We will definitely be back. We had a good signal with T-Mobile home and AT&T and Verizon had 2 bars.

What a nice place! Sites had plenty of room and the facilities were clean. We rode our bike in the South side. Quiet roads with no traffic and sidewalks for the little ones. The main feature is the opportunity to see the locks in action. Something you dont see every day unless you boat in the lake Ockeechobee area. The locks operator was super nice too! It was a great weekend!

The drive into the campground was decent with a few sharp turns. Watch for dump trucks as there is a quarry near by. From check in to check out an awesome experience. At checking the ranger was knowledgeable and had a great positive attitude. She provided great local information. We stayed in there in a 30 AS with a Dually (8) bed. The campground is definitely big rig friendly as there were units there larger than us. Beautiful water front views, clean bathhouses, dump station upon exiting the park. We will definitely be returning.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious sites, and clean bathrooms. Easy to get to. Great view of the lake and dam. You can also walk over the dam to watch the locks. You may see manatees, otters, alligators, variety of birds including an eagle.
