Best laid out campground ever. Hosts were friendly except a little edgy 15-20 minutes before check out time. Watching the locks work is very interesting. Bathrooms and showers were exceptional. Very quiet and not overcrowded. Relaxing stay in a warm climate. Dump station was well planned and easy to use. Great campground!

I was only at Ortona for two nights but thoroughly enjoyed the campground, nature, and the friendliness of neighbors and staff. Campground and facilities were well maintained. I will definitely return when I have more time to explore.

I almost hate to write a positve review because this RV camp is hard enough to get into. I've been coming here for years, this year I planned ahead and made my 14 day reservation early enough so I had one spot the entire time, but last year I had to move 9 times in 14 days! Far enough from civilization to return to nature but close enough to take in what Ocean Springs and Biloxi has to offer. I really can't say enough good things about Davis Bayou Campground.

Excellent support from the volunteers. Very good stay. To improve campers comfort, we suggest to add coin operated washers and dryers. There is no laundromat nearby.

Excellent campground.
Only thing oak tree branches on site 43 need trimmed back for bigger and higher rigs.

Well-maintained campsites. Peaceful area. Nice to have the fishing docks. Staff very helpful. Our new favorite park.

This site was a pull through site on the end of a loop. Water & Electric hookup only (no sewer at any site). Covered picnic table, fire pit & grill. Concrete parking pad with large gravel area for relaxing. Very easy checkin. You do not have a view of the water but within short walk of it. Nice dock for gator watching and fishing. Would definitely recommend. The campground & restrooms are kept very clean. Close to cute town of Labelle, Fl. For shopping, banks, restaurants.

Park wasn't as green and lush as in the photos, but perhaps that's because it was spring when we were there. We had a power drop in the middle of the night one of the 2 nights we were there. Thankfully we ALWAYS use a surge protector... but I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence.

We were in a site RIGHT by the entrance. There is a ranger that stays in an RV right there at the entrance. I was a little surprised that he is allowed to leave his dog tethered out at his site unattended and barking. That is like a huge no-no at most places, especially for a park employee.

Overall, it was an OK place, but just not what we expected.

Very clean and quiet spot. Good cell coverage, nice view of the waterway and lock. Sites are large and spread out. A fire ring and covered picnic table at each spot. Excellent.

We had an excellent stay at Ortona South. The site we had was a pull through and had lots of shade. I think if we come back (WHEN WE COME BACK) we will try to get a site on the water.
