One of our favorite places .... love the campground and seeing the boats go by. The LaBelle area is great and it's not too far from Ft. Myers.

Our experience was okay. The restrooms on our loop were locked because of problems. The park was pretty empty. And it wasn’t the parks fault but we had 2 very strong thunder storms. We still like the park very much.

Glad we found this great Corp park. Quiet, beautiful, hosts are so nice, fun watching the boats go by. And, it's fairly close to Ft Myers to we can
visit with family and they can visit us.

I almost want to put negative options so campers won't find out about it! It is difficult to get reservations at times.

As usual the campground was clean and well maintained. Access to the lock to watch boats go through is greatly appreciated.

Ortona South is a quiet serene location adjacent to a healthy river, making for a leisure place to visit. Take plenty of food, snacks, and drinks or plan to travel to the nearest town appropriately 15 miles away for replacements. The Campgroung is well kept and manicured; it's a great place to simply slow down. This is not a place where you hear loud campers at all, you'll hear birds all day long. It gets quite warm after spring so look for spots with shade trees.

I really enjoy Ortona South. The campground is easy to navigate, quiet, level and offers appropriate amenities. The staff are super friendly as well.

We enjoy our time at Ortona anytime we can get in. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to medical issue. We lan on coming back. Thank you.

Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Fishing used to be good but the campground fishing area near the dam is in disrepair. The fishing pier itself is ok but not much to be caught there. Best fishing used to be at the dam. There is also no boat launch at this campground which is unusual for an ACOE campground. Some of the caretaker volunteers are too pushy. (Check out is at 11 am but he will remind you earlier even if you are ready to go and just waiting for the dump to free up).
