Great quite campground in South West Florida cattle country, located on the Caloosahatchee river a short drive from Lake Okeechobee, Labelle, Alva & other outdoor enthusiasts ideal settings for hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating, etc.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The grounds and restrooms are always maintained well. We like any site, but we have our favorites! We love to sit and watch the boats go through the lock. Relaxing time here, always!

Excellant level paved spots with nice views. Attentive staff. Bathrooms were clean and in good shape. I would come back.

Not a lot to do but the locks are interesting. Phone service and tv reception is fine. Level sites. Very low water pressure.

Very nice clean park. It would have been nice if the restrooms in our area were working. The staff went over and above to make our stay enjoyable.

We loved this park. Not a lot to do, but it was hot and windy, so we enjoyed looking at the gators and boats as they passed thru the lock.

It would be 5 stars if the bathroom was open. The campground hosts are wonderful and things are always in order and ready for our arrival.

Friendly hosts! Beautiful campground with water- lock and the cattle fields with lots of birds. Everyone friendly! Very quiet park!

Campground is very nice - sites are good size, campground clean and well managed. Could use better WiFi - only available in a very limited area. Primary issue with the campground is that there is very little to do in the area. Highway is not busy so we rode our bikes to La Belle and looped around to Ortona and then crossed the dam back to the campground. Lots of cows but thats about it

It is a great campground always but this time the staff was outstanding. There were more maintenance workers one day than usual and they even raked and checked the gravel for debris. The ranger helped me change campsite reservations when more days became available and so did the camp hosts. I think we ended up with 4 reservations because of cancellations but we only had to change campsites once. Without their help, I think we would have moved 4 times!

Very cool scenery with the lake and lock and dam. I saw numerous different species of birds in the area. Sites level and fairly close to you neighbor.
