Bathrooms are closed and we are not aware of this. So we have to force to cancel the next day reservation. We didnt get any refund.

We camp here a few times a year. We like that it is so close to the beach. We enjoy seeing the Blue Angel practice sessions. We also enjoy bands on the beach. I recommend getting a National Park pass to save on the $25 entrance fee to the National Park.

Pickens is one of the few Gulf coastal beach locations free from high rise condos, souvenir shops, heavy traffic, etc. Over 20 miles of beautiful Coastal Gulfside and Bayside beaches, dunes (which are returning after devastating hurricanes), coastal marshes and forests on Santa Rosa Island are peacefully encountered with minimal intrusion. Find your spot and enjoy. BUT, respect the nesting Birds

Park is very well kept and the facilities are clean. The only thing we didn't like was when we got there and checked in, which was around noonish, even though site was already cleaned/empty, we had to wait until 2pm to set up camp (we had a tent..lol) and we didn't have any time to relax and enjoy it bc it was late and we had to check out and leave by 11am.

We really like this campground. The only thing that prevents me from giving a higher rating are the bathhouses. They really need to be updated. The beach is a great place to go and it is easy to access from the campground. When booking a site pay attention to the pad size. The length includes the tow vehicle and you are not allowed to get on the grass. This is enforced.

Excellent campground, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Bath house is clean and in need of renovation.Easy check in and out. Glad to see enforcement of parking on camp sites. Off the grass and off the road.

Site 61 is great for tent camping. Ample space and shade plus right by the bath house. Very close to beaches and great trails to walk, run or ride bikes on. Fort pickens is a neat place too. Blue angels practice at 1030 every Tuesday and Thursday. Bayside sea wall is a great place for viewing. No negatives.

The showers were terrible. Needed sprayed and cleaned. The 30 amp breaker broke and we had to use a 50 amp adapter we had in our camper. The grass had not been cut. About a week into our stay they finally started cutting but when leaving after 13 days some still hadnt been cut. It did rain some but there was plenty of time when not raining grass could have been cut. No one had trimmed around fire rings and next to campers. We were not allowed to get on site until 2:00 for cutting grass and clean up, but we saw no cutting and cleaning being done. The new parking rule was only followed by some of the campers. Most of the hosts were only riding around checking sites and telling a few about new parking rule. One host in the bus camper did try to help us with our breaker issue. I like coming to Fort Pickens Campground, but improvements to grass cutting, showers, and parking need to happen.

We always enjoy our time at Fort Pickens. The park is well cared for, the bathrooms are always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We recommend a stay here to anyone coming through. Plus, to tour the fort is the icing on the cake.

The walking/biking trails are so much fun. We rode our recumbent bikes from the campground to Ft. Pickens, and also rode the trail from Loop A. We’re been camping at Ft. Pickens so many times over decades. It’s our favorite place to camp.

This was our fifth time camping at Fort Pickens Campground. It’s one of our favorite spots. The beach is so nice. I really enjoyed paddling my kayak on both the bayside and gulfside. We also enjoyed riding our trikes without the heavy traffic.

our campsite E61 has a low hanging oak tree that caused us to spend almost an hour trying to park the camper. When we left, it took 1/2 hour to pull out because of this tree. There was no warning when we reserved that there was a low lying tree. Also, the water pressure went out for a couple hours while we were there.
