This is a great campground. Our second time here on our way down from Michigan. Cleanness is above standards. And the staff were curious and helpful. Enjoyed our stay. I always recommend it to friends in our group.

Just make sure you check with the camp hoist what you can and cant and how to park. And I Mean CHeck with ALL the camp hoists. One camp hoist said the way I was parked was fine. 4 days later the next camp hoist tells me you cant park like that even after being told the other woman sain I could.

Everything was nice and the area is beautiful. Touring the actual fort was a huge benefit. The only negative we experienced was the age and lack of shelves or seats in the showers. No place to sit or hang up your clean clothes. Also the large container surrounding the black water dump connection was craked and some effluent had leaked into the surrounding ground. We will return. BTW, got to see the Blue Angels practicing their routine one morning!

The parks are very nice and we travel a lot through the USA and use them often.The app is good but a few improvements need to be made. Not everyone knows the name of the park or where it is. So a map search should definitely be integrated.The worst thing is that we have very often experienced that the places are fully booked but the leaders simply do not come the place is empty and in front of the park someone would like to have a place. There should be a simple rule here: if you don't show up by 17.00, the pitch will be reallocated. Then those who have not already pre-booked will also have a chance.Thank you Thomas

Our favorite place to camp but the facilities haven’t been maintained as well the last 2 trips as they were in the past. Specifically the showers haven’t been cleaned.

Great park with wonderful volunteers. Site are not very long and you must, must keep all tires on the asphalt! The park rangers and paid staff are not the best with customer serves. They seem to make up rules and berate you for not following them only to find out the "rule" was not in any of the printed material. Once that is pointed out to them things calm down.Bathrooms are fine and park is beautiful.

We love this park. You can not beat the location. Hopefully some of the relief fund will be spent on updating dump stations and/ or adding sewer hook ups to sites. Would love more dog friendly areas!

We have camped at Ft. Pickens numerous times and always have an enjoyable time. The campground and shower houses are always clean. We enjoy walking the trails and looking for Osprey nests or walking over the dunes to the bay and walking on the beach. The fort is very interesting as well!

I have stayed at Fort Pickens many times. The beaches are beautiful and that is my draw. However, this campground has gone down hill from two years ago. We were there for two weeks and when we got there the whole area needed to be mowed and it was never mowed the whole time we were there! The restrooms are in a huge need of being painted and the showers were dirty and there was mold in some of them, no hooks in one of them, and the picnic tables are in poor shape. It was disappointing because I hate to see this campground go downhill. I just assume funds are not available for keeping this campground cared for. Disappointing.

We had a wonderful time there, and the facilities were mostly excellent. The lights in the showers were not good, and some of them leaked continuously. But the bathrooms were clean and the water hot.

Beautiful park with gorgeous beaches. We really enjoyed visiting the Fort and learning its history.
