We love Ft. Pickens so much. We like the quiet of the campground. You have the best of both worlds, the beach and the bay.

The location was great and the availability to access the bay as well as the ocean was appealing. Certainly nice to have a much more quiet beach than the chaos of Pensacola Beach. Other than that, we will go somewhere else next time. #1 our campsite was supposed to be a shady site. One thin small tree on the east side so we got all the western sun in the afternoon. #2 the bathrooms were terrible. No fan in the toilet area and it was humid and extremely hot. The showers are all old and rundown. Some shower rooms had no hook or shelf or towel bar to put your stuff on. Looked more like a place to wash your pet off rather than a person taking a shower to get clean. Guess weve gotten spoiled by going to military base campgrounds, which are far superior in their bath houses. #3 our RV is only 25 feet and we could barely fit our small Ford Escape at the end of the paved space for our campsite. Whereas the people who camped across from us had one camper and two large tents on their campsite. They mustve had three families there because they had multiple vehicles that were parked in the only extra nearby parking. That was an hour understanding with how parking should be allowed. We ended up canceling the rest of our trip because it just wasnt fun. Too hot, and too many inconveniences. Sad part is that we had to pay a cancellation fee twice because our original Camp spot wasnt going to accommodate us for the rest of the time that we originally wanted to stay, so we had to book the second part of our trip at a different campsite. Hence the cancellation fee x 2. Overall not impressed enough.

Be prepared for park closure due to storms. Pensacola RV Park is a good option. This trip, park closed on Friday for a storm that was to arrive Saturday night. We then received an email that the park would re-open on Sunday at 1 pm. Campers were lined up to get in, and unfortunately, someone forgot to remove the cones so people could come in. It would have been considerate to be a bit better about re-opening the park when there was no damage, and let campers come in early as they arrived. As it was, the first in line had to wait an extra 45 minutes past the promised time until the cones were removed.

We love this park for location and unspoiled beaches. YlThis is our third year at the campground The bathrooms in Area C were horrible. Dirty and not picked up day after day. That was disappointing. I know you can do better

We had site 34 E. This was a great site, with some shade. The park is nice, the Fort is great to explore and the beach is beautiful. Our site was across from a path that walks out to the bay. Bathrooms need updating. Bonus was watching the Blue Angels practice.

Well, I always try to get in A loop, I got site E 32 this time. It was a wonderful site very close to the bay and blackbird marsh Trail. I thought it was very well situated and felt private. I was able to park my vehicle across in the road in the parking area. I will definitely try for this site again. Cell reception 1-2 bars. The dump station was pretty wonky and messed up, but I was able to accomplish dumping twice. The bathrooms continue to be a challenge. The showers are in not great condition. Given that there is no sewer, everyone must use the shower, but they have been in a state of disrepair for years now. I wish they would make those nice. Theyre starting to put these little spigots in that you cannot get under to even wash. Theyre too close to the wall. I like the new check in procedure. It was great to have a full week in the park and not get thrown out this time. It was just wonderful.

We enjoyed tent camping with electric and water hook-ups. Do not hang anything from the trees as the NPS is looking to regrow shade trees. Make sure to bring a big water cooler to stayed well hydrated so you don't have to turn on the water spicket many times a day. Definitely take the trail on the E-Loop to walk down the beach bay. The dunes and giant beached jellyfish are amazing to see! Also, make sure to catch a sunrise from the Gulf side and sunset from the Fort!

We have a Tiffin Class A Motorhome we stayed in at the park for 7 days. Our site was spacious enough which is unusual now. The site was about miles from the beaches. Everything at the park was well kept and the pavilion at the beach had nice restrooms and ample tables under roof to eat on. The beach was close to the pavilion which was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was an awesome place to spend a week. We were there spring break week and yet had the beach to ourselves practically. We rode bikes on the trails and on the road and we visited the fort. This location is good for day trips to Pensacola and Navarre Beach. A true hidden gem.The campground itself is very nice and the spaces are large. However, most are limited to 20 to 30 foot trailers. We had a 19 foot trailer and it did not leave enough room to park our tow vehicle. However, there is excellent overflow parking and in our case that was located directly across the road so it worked better for us anyway. Sites have grass that is kept mowed and are very nice.

This was my fifth time staying at Fort Pickens CG. I love this area, and the CG offers hiking and biking, along with the Gulf and the Bay. Great spot.and lots of fish to grill from Pensacolas Joe Pattis Fish Market!

The laundry rooms were the worse I have seen. I did 3 loads. The washer did not clean my clothes. The dryer did not dry them. The sites were very close. People cut right through camp. The beach was wonderful.

Fort Pickens campground was a perfect peaceful getaway. The beaches are pristine and the walking trails are well-maintained and easily accessible. If you want to relax away from the tourist areas/beaches this is your place! Bring your supplies/food/ice with you since there are no facilities to purchase these items on site.

Excellent location. Decent sized sites. Clean facilities. Staff professional, courteous and friendly. Both close, AND far way from town. Enjoyed miles of leisurely strolling along beach and trails. Waking about Fort Pickens and WW2 batteries was wonderful. Friends biked and kayaked. Highly recommend.

One of the most gorgeous campgrounds I have seen! The Gulf is so very close, as is Pensacola Bay. Historic Fort Pickens is fun to ramble through. Driving through sand dunes on either side of the road is heavenly. Campground is remote enough, but not too remote. Facilities are great, except showers could be cleaner. Overall, a great experience!!! Will be going back!

We enjoyed our camping experience at Fort Pickens.the sites where appropriate for designated RV.The addition of a sewer connection would be helpful. The white sand beach was beautiful.

This was our third time to stay at Fort Pickens. We love the campground, the beach and of course Fort Pickens. Just wish it was full hook up but for the price it is great. We plan on coming back this fall or in the late winter of 2022. Love to tour the old Fort also the museum at the Pensacola Naval station, the many thrift stores and antique store. Navarre beach and pier are also awesome. All the seafood restaurants like Pegleg Pete's in Pensacola Beach, any of the Shrimp baskets, Scooters in Navarre, any of the Dewey Destin's, TC Porch, etc etc . Great seafood all along the coast. I do like to eat.

This is a gem of a campground. Quiet - isolated - surrounded by beauty. Only 20 minutes to a beach town. We will be back.
