Everything was pretty good. The only thing is the restrooms still need updating badly.

The campground is quite crowded with many campsites close enough to each other that conversation at one site is heard inside the trailer next door. The showers in all loops except A were in poor repair, very busy and difficult to use due to missing hooks, benches shower curtains and damaged valves and nozzles. Early morning visits to the toilet meant line ups because not really enough restrooms for the number of campers. The beach boardwalks are in total disrepair and the bathroom at Langdon beach was neglected. The beaches, fort and ecosystems are a national treasure that needs to be shared by even more people but only if the facilities are adequately maintained.

The campground was great! The only issue that we had was lack of signs. Nothing was clearly labeled (like where the visitor center, campground registration, etc. were)

Good site. There is a drop off from the asphalt pad to ground which is common at this campground. There is some privacy and afternoon shade from your trailer. I would reserve it again.

The park is beautiful. One of the park rangers was very rude. Spoiled the mood of the whole stay. I understand rules. And I understand explaining if you do something wrong unintentionally. But to make threats. But the maintenance staff does the same thing but worse. But they don't say anything to them. If when bright to the rangers attention.

We always stay here when we come to Florida. It is a clean and well kept campground. Be sure to check out the naval museum and Crabs on The beach if you go as well as the Blue Angel practices on Tuesday and Wednesday which are seen best on the bay side.

Great experience, as always. Camp ground well kept. Nice improvements on the nature trails. We will keep returning Spring and Fall, as we have for many years now.

Absolutely loved this place. Nice sites with water and electric. Hiking trails and a short 5 minute walk to the beach (Gulf). Visiting and touring Ft. Pickens was wonderful.

Very nice facilities and spacious sites. We changed our reservation from Loop A due to an alert posted about low clearance for that loop due to low tree branches. Arriving and setting up in Loop C we checked out Loop A and saw no reason for concern there. But we were fine with our new spot.

Very nice facility. Camp host were available and very friendly. We had easy access to beach and sound and we enjoyed both during our stay. The trails were well maintained and we were able to ride our bikes to visit Fort Pickens. We were asked to leave a day early because there was a hurricane in the gulf, a very reasonable request.
@DennisG2142628 · Camped on Mar 26, 2022 at Campsite #C39
A storm was arriving and the campground was closed the day before and everyone was required to leave the facility. This is understandable and an acceptable plan of action for everyone's safety. What isn't acceptable is all our remaining reservation was also cancelled and put back up on recreation.gov for anyone else to reserve when the facility opened back up. We were not allowed any preference to return first. This happened to several campers but not everyone. Why is it that I was not able to return to complete my reservation???

This is one of the best beach experiences on the Gulf of Mexico. From the campground you can walk to the Gulf beach, cross over and return to your campground on the bayside beach. It's a wonderful experience and as a camper you have access to the beaches when there are few other visitors around.It's a quick walk or drive to the fort as well and there are a few trials from the campground that allow dogs.Our site was level and clean and we had no problem fitting our motorhome and the vehicle of a guest who joined us. There was ample overflow parking if we needed it. We left our tow vehicle behind because we were afraid there wouldn't be enough parking for it in overflow. But that wouldn't have been a problem.
@PaulT7740903 · Camped on Feb 11, 2022 at Campsite #C39
Love the campground. Only suggestion is either expand the overflow parking or allow cars to pull in perpendicular to their camper. Ever since this new rule( no perpendicular parking), there isnt enough overflow parking. Thank you for considering
