We love coming to Fort Pickens Federal Campground and have for 14 years. The bathrooms and showers need to be cleaned on a daily basis

Nice campground. Laundry facilities were very helpful. Showers and restrooms were fairly clean (the shower walls could use a scrubbing). Sites are a bit close, but there is a lot of vegetation in loop A, which helps. No mosquitoes or ants in March. The nature trail access was right there in the CG, and the birds were active. Saw a formation of 8 Pelicans.

Beautiful location with Pensacola Bay on one side and the Bay of Mexico on the other with white sand beaches and dunes on both. A lot of history is available also.

Always a great time. Beautiful beaches, historic fort and Pensacola. Go to the Naval Aviation museum at the Naval base, it is awesome. The seafood in Pensacola is amazing

Our campsite A34 was level. Bathrooms, showers, laundry, dishwashing station, & dump station were all nearby. Ft. Pickens was close, beaches, and drove into Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum & lighthouse. Ate at Peg Leg Pete's. Delicious.

The beach was beautiful and A34 was a great camp spot. Will come back later in the year after the summer. Camp host was very friendly and very available.

An absolutely beautiful campground! Loved that it's not close to town,limited cell service,clean,and great staff.

The guards at gate going into Fort Pickens were so nice and also the lady checking us in at registration house for camping. The only problem we had was the employees working in the gift shop and museum house at the Fort were very unfriendly.

If possible stay in A loop -
This is a pristine beach experience -beauty and nature go hand in hand here. This is the exact opposite of my Key West experience ...which is to say Key West is an expensive tourist trap with far too many bars and trinket shops while Gulf Shore National Park is about enjoying the peaceful tranquility and beauty of this thin stretch of land in between the bay and the Gulf. ...However if you want to drive the 9 mile stretch through the delightful road along the beaches into town - you can access some bars, restaurants, and gift shops...but nothing as excessive as Key West. I’m from San Diego, California....as far as I’m concerned this place is the #1 best place in Florida to vacation at if you like nature.
