Twice we were forced to leave the campground for 2 days in a 14 day period. At the first closure our complete reservation was cancelled and we lost our spot and when we tried to rebook we had to take 2 different spots and move during our time period. The camp hosts were wonderful and just as dismayed at the cancellations as the campers. The second closure was handled better with cancellation of only the 2 days.

The campground itself was very nice and the space between campsites was ample.Like most state parks all the showers were in some sort of disrepair although usable. The dump site was designed by someone who never dumped a tank before. The was a 8" curb all around the inlet and the whole dump site was elevated another 8-10 inches above the raod surface, so it made it almost impossible to dump our tanks. Ridiculous!

Great last minute find. We walked 16 miles in two days. Loved the powder white sand.

A very good experience as usual! Took a little time to get used to the new procedures.

Fort Pickens CG is a great spot with amazing beaches and interesting historical places to visit. Everything was very nice with the exception of the showers. They definitely need an update: the shower curtains were moldy, paint was chipped, several didnt have seats or hooks for towels and clothes. Most disturbing was the slippery floors. My husband fell and hit his head. We mentioned this to the rangers; hopefully they will do something.

Great place to camp. Quiet beaches close by but conveniently located close to Pensacola Beach.

Was great as always, kids loved it. We got to see starfish in the shallows and wildlife on the trails. Can't wait to go back!

We love Fort Pickens. Great access to the beach and the bay. Many trails to explore and hours can be spent exploring the fort and batteries. Biking and kayaking opportunities abound.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds, not because of the campground which is pretty basic and needs some TLC upgrading, but because of its location which offers the best beaches, many hiking trails, and lots of historical artifacts to explore.

This was my second visit to Fort Pickens campground and while I would recommend this campground, there are some things that one needs to be aware. While there was plenty of space between the campsites, the campsites themselves are very narrow and not very wide. Add this to the narrow road and it is difficult (although not impossible) to back into your spot. There is no place to park your car by your camper although some people part sideways. There are some places to park but not close to your camper. The time we were there, the grass needed mowing very badly and we did not see or hear a lawnmower the entire week we were there. Would also add that it is a great place to stay and we will probably come back again. After all it is close to the beach!

Entrance workers rude, price has become high but everything closed (store, programs, tours, no full hookups like state park for same price)

We stayed in E loop, E10, the spot was spacious and had good cell phone reception. I would recommend keeping your personal items off the grass when not in use so when the people come around to mow they can get to the whole grassy area, they don't move anything. Make sure to bring everything you need with you as it is a bit of a drive to the nearest grocery store. We watched the blue angels practice at ft pickens and parked at the closed up little store and walked over to the beach. It was really beautiful and white sands. We enjoyed our stay, the location is hard to beat.

A lovely, remote campground on a narrow spit of land within 15 minutes of shopping, restaurants, hardware stores and more. The fort was interesting to explore and the beach is pristine. Cell phone coverage was not great - 1 to 2 bars. Choose your campsite carefully- some have plenty of room for awnings and chairs, others are very cramped. Bath houses are nice and well maintained and the staff are friendly. All in all a nice place to visit!
