We loved the convenience of going to our site and being able to explore the park with a very short drive. The beach was great, the hiking paths very nice

Very nice park! Bit of a walk to the beach unless you go to Langdon. Great Camp hosts. Bath houses are fine but not air-conditioned. You can tour the Fort and fish from a pier.

First time to stay in section A campground, it was fantastic! The camp host was very friendly, as were all the staff we encountered. The campsite was very clean and well maintained. We cant wait to come back!

Nice place to camp. In loop A you're to far from the beach and blue waters of the Gulf. The Blue Angels are located in Pensacola and practice quite often. But beware of the pavement to ground difference, it can be dangerous

Beautiful place with unbelievable beaches. Fort and gun turrets/battery was really cool as well. Love the access to everything. Only downfall was the camp bathhouses. They are not air conditioned and basically only spray HOT water. If its summer youre not going to be able to cool off. Please for the love of God turn the cold water on and put a fan or something in there. People like to be clean and not sweat when you shower. Other than that the place is awesome!

Nice camping sites, good water pressure in showers, hosts impersonal and no contact or assistance unless except to correct campers. Spartan prison-type restroom facilities. Great trails for walking or bicycling. Easy beach access. Great place for history interests.

Some kind of feeling of being at the end of the world. Great experience visiting the fort.

I am sure no one even cares to read this review. We were repeatedly harassed by Park Rangers and the Staff. We had 4 visits in one day on the 22nd of December. Reynold and Henderson. Maintenance man tried to run us off while we were fishing. He is not even a law enforcement officer. The the freeze came and all the enforcement people left the park and were not available to assist new people checking in. I have the conversation on video where Henderson lost control of himself and what accusing me of being in the park after hours after I repeatedly told him I paid for 14 days to be in the park.I think I will post this on youtube to get peoples attention. Staff even did not want to accept my military paperwork to prove I was a veteran.

Beach and beach access are great. Don't miss sunset on beach - it is a peaceful, humbling experience. If you are in a tent, be prepared for some serious clean-up after you get home. If it is humid (which it usually is), the sand and debris from the live oak trees will be stuck to everything. The sites are not really ideal for tents - maintained tent pads would be a great addition. Don't let this keep you away though - the experience is definitely worth the clean-up efforts.

Loop A. The Showers had NO ventilation, because the exhaust vents did not work. 1 of the 3 showers was closed the entire week we were the there. Broken door knob and you couldn't open the door. Laundry room was nice and clean. Bathrooms were clean, but one toilet seat was broken and would fall off.

I was disappointed to be evacuated twice from the campground. The second time was near the end of our stay, so we decided not to return. I need to seriously consider if I want to camp at Ft. Pickens again if that is what is going to happen. Its very disruptive, in this day where reservations are needed months in advance, to be evacuated with no firm timeline as to when you can return, and have to scramble for somewhere to go.

We stayed in Campground A, it was a great place. Clean showers and restrooms, clean campground. The beach was just a 3 min walk and in March, was vacant, which we loved. The beaches were great. All I can say is we will definately be back. Love Loved it. Great Job Park Service.

We had an amazing time at Fort Pickens Campground. The campground is well maintained. The showers were always clean. We loved the beautiful, quiet beaches, which are only a short walk or drive to get to. We will visit Fort Pickens again!

Unspoiled nature and sugar-white beaches. Navys Blue Angels practicing overhead in season. Tour the old fort, fish in the Bay from the pier or in the Gulf surf. We love it here. Bring what you need as its a long slow drive to the main tourist area convenience stores, another ten minutes to Gulf Breeze grocery stores. Great seafood restaurants in Pensacola Beach, if you do want to take the time. We prefer the A loop sites. Most are level, noticed a few that sloped down. All are back-in. Renovated shower, restrooms, and coin laundry, which were kept clean. Be aware that the island is still recovering from Hurricane Sally, as of this review 12/2020. The US98 bay bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze is closed, possibly back open in Spring 2021.
