Love this campground. Close to the open gulf on one side and the bay on the other. The sound of the crashing waves can be heard at your campsite.

We enjoyed our stay at Ft Pickens campground. Loved the easy access to the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay and the Fort. We were able to catch the Blue Angels practice on Tuesday so that was a nice treat! Watched the sunrise and sunset daily from various points in the park. Rode the trail on our bikes. Relaxed on the beach. Our site was nice. Checkin was effortless. Looking forward to going again.

The location was great! Everything else failed to met expectations. The facilities at the bathhouse were atrocious and in need of repair/ upgrade. The Camp Host had an awful attitude about the smallest of issues. We had a guest come visit while we stayed and they parked their car on a patch of dead grass and gravel. They were off the road and not blocking traffic or near any other campers. The camp host felt this was an absolute crime and decided to bang on our RV door at 8pm. As I opened the door he yelled, this cannot be! I was kind of shocked and asked whats the matter? Then he attempted to calm himself while explaining the car needed to be moved. Then while my guest moved the vehicle he stood at the road pacing frantically! The whole interaction was very odd!

Camp host Curtis was very helpful and we were able to assist in rescuing a cat that escaped a previous camper. Reunited with owner from New Mexico, great trip and happy owners!! One of our best trips!! A20 is a great site and love fishing pier!

We really liked the campground. The restrooms were not great. We really didn't like the only road in and out of this campground was flooded all week we were there. No one from the park worked at clearing the water. We tow a small car. It was a chore driving in and out of the campground. I can imagine the salt water will damage our car.

Got evacuated due to impending storms. But they only refunded for the first two days of our reservation and they wont refund for all the last night we had reserved even though the campground was closed for all of our reserved nights.

The park is amazing, with so much to do there every day! I only have four stars because the campsite bathrooms were in need of a little more attention.

Great place to stay, rules a little tight as far as re-entering without cardholder who was my husband, and went to store without him and they wanted us to pay $25 and we were camping there. Screwy..

We loved the Fort Pickens campground. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is that we had to evacuate for one day due to the threat of bad storms. The bad weather never came. I realize the park officials would rather error on the part of safety but it creates a real hardship to find an other camping site. But if you camp there you have to realize evacution is always a possibility due to the roads becoming flooded

love this location. love the biking trails and beach areas. Liked the fire pits. Liked the spacing between sights. Loved having laundry facilities. Wish some sights had low hanging trees trimmed back to accomodate RV's better.Would liked to have had WIFI.

A loop is the best but the 12 high restriction could easily be solved by cutting one large limb next to the campground road.

What a beautiful place . Wonderful beaches and great History too. We loved it . Wonderful beaches - oh my , is there any other place on earth so nice ? Clean park and restrooms . Showers too . Blue Angels practice. Yes. 2 days in a row . Lots of Civil War History . 21 million bricks to build the Fort . Volunteers were kind. And knowledgeable. But !!!! Whats up with the requirement for masks ? I thought the Federal Government told us to believe in the Science . Yes, Ive had 2 shots, and was just at a Rock Concert with 60,000 others . I find it odd that most of America has dropped the mask requirement , but not Ft Pickens. 10/10. That Place is awesome .

We stayed in two different campsites in Loop A--both were very level and spacious. We preferred the one that was closest to the main road and gulf. It seemed to be more open and breezy, with fewer biting insects. It was wonderful to be able to walk to the beach from our campsite. In Loop A the showers and bathrooms were always clean. The laundry room was in the same building, which made it convenient to throw a load in and go back to the campsite. We look forward to our next visit!
Cautionary updates were timely!1 Thank You, all for your Service.

Loop A is a nice camp area. I enjoyed the trails and the easy walk to the beach. This is a smaller loop and easier to navigate thru. There were trash cans and bags dedicated for dog waste which is nice plus for walking my dog. The site was adequate for or rig. There was a very nice laundry room and it was very convenient.
