Loop A is a good location to access beach and the remote beaches are beautiful. Bath House needs some renovation. Some tree limbs need cut, it is a campground for campers, not a forest or nature preserve. It would not hurt the oak trees to prune them where the don't obstruct campsites and loop a road. Lots of trails and bike lanes and the Fort is fun to explore.

Love this place and will most definitely come back for a longer stay. Would have given five stars, but bathrooms could use updates and better cleaning.

This is our favorite place to camp, lots of trails to hike or ride your bike around the area. Beaches are a short walk from the campground.

Was a unique experience staying here...Huricane Rafael was offshore and we had a bit of rain...loved our time here and look forward to a return trip.

Beautiful park, beaches and views. The park runs on high standards, a.k.a. rules. Which shows and is appreciated. Although, the turnover is continual, it is very peaceful and relaxing. We loved the trails and walking the beach. We also enjoyed visiting Pensacola for a birthday dinner. Downtown was unique and historic with a good brewery and restaurants. We can't wait to return for more sun and fun!

My major complaint deals with how the park was shut down due to expected poor weather conditions. We were told that the park would be closed a minimum of 3 days, so we scrambled to make a 3 day reservation elsewhere. The park opened after 2 days yet we had paid for 3 days (nonrefundable) at the other campground. When I talked to a Ranger at the station I was told no one would have told us that the park would be closed for a minimum of 3 days. I guess we, as well as the campers next to us, were hearing things. The Park needs to do a better job of communicating the possibilities when faced with closing due to weather. The shower rooms need a little updating. One shower (out of 4) in our campground was never open.It would have been nice if the Visitor's Center would have been open.We had great walks both on the inland trails as well as the beaches. Bike riding was good with drivers respecting you and giving you space. For the most part the Rangers were helpful and informative. Be aware that you are isolated here and are 6 or 7 miles from large grocery stores.

Great beaches. Noisy campgrounds with barking dogs.

We enjoyed our stay - easy walk to beach. The restrooms were just ok - men's soap dispenser was "broken" and had been for a while the other was missing. Shower rooms were not the best. One room the light was on a sensor so turned off several times while showering. Another room reeked of smoke and another room the lock got stuck locking someone in. April was a beautiful time to stay but a bit too cold to get in the water. The day we left, the campground closed due to weather and everyone had to evacuate. It opened back up the next morning. Be prepared as I'm not sure where we would have gone had it been in the middle of our stay.

Quiet and peaceful, with good walking and access to the water. My gripe is the policy of packing out your garbage is followed to an extreme. We walk the beach and pick up trash that has washed ashore or been blown into the vegetation. When we get off the beach, we have to hunt for a place to dump it. I know the parks are short of funds, but this is an economy that hurts the environment.

Ugh, the campfires are horrible. Our neighbors lit them every night and the smoke filled our camper van. My husband had to medicate for cough and sinus because of it. I couldn't even read, my eyes watered so badly. This is unhealthy and made our stay miserable. Why are people allowed to pollute a national park and impose unhealthy air on others? The people with the fires didn't suffer because the wind blew the smoke to others. If people have to have a campfire, they should be required to use gas instead of wood.

This is a special place and always enjoy coming here. With camp store closed it would be a great help to bring in one of the ice kiosk vendors for self service ice. Plenty of space available at store parking lot.

Im a surf fisherman so I love the Gulf side of the Island but if you dont have a fishing license the fishing pier is a good place. I wish everyone would read the regulations , it would be very helpful.
