My husband and I have been camping a Fort Pickens campgrounds for the last 5 years and we love it. You have access to several beaches, you are close to the restrooms and showers from your campsite. We will be going back again next year, maybe sooner if I can work things out.

I was grateful to get a last-minute reservation when Florida State Parks accidentally cancelled my reservation at a nearby campground! As a tent camper, loop B had no electric nor water, yet I was prepared so all the necessities were there for a pleasant overnight stay. All sites are park-at-your-site, thankfully...not the walk-in kind. The campground and the fellow campers had a pleasant nostalgic old-school feel, so different from the state parks where the evenings are silent as everyone but the tenters retreat into their RV's at dusk. The bathroom / shower building was clean but has no A/C so super humid. Staff were top-notch, welcoming and professional. The gorgeous beach is steps from a campground parking area and as an early bird, I had the beach to myself on a Friday morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to return.

We loved biking with our kids around Fort Pickens. The campground was well maintained and the beaches were pristine. Wish the bike lane continued through the whole park. We will be back!

Wonderful experience! Within ear shot of the pounding surf, helps for a deep sleep. Many things to see and do in walking distance.

Very nice, clean and very well looked after campsite next to the historical place and fishing pier! Astonishing crispy sand on the endless beach!!!! Many thanks to staff and campers for very pleasant experience at our first time visit! We defenetly will be back again and again!

Would rather not leave a negative reviews being that we're local natives and have camped at Ft. Pickens dozens of times over 30 years, however, the Campground hosts checking dates, parking, etc. were less than friendly on their INITIAL approach to our 'home away from home' for 4 days.We had a minor issue of a parking voilation with one of our vehicles 'temporarily parked' in an adjacent unoccupied site for unloading and left OUR reserved site for 20 min. maximum only to return to several 'violation slips' and an even worse Nazi attitude from the couple.Naturally, we complied immediately by moving the vehicle to the 'Overflow Parking'. We were not uncooperative in any other way during our stay OR presented any other issues.However, the unfriendly demeanor we encountered was completely unnecessary!No please, no thank you, no smiles.We understand the demands of their 'jobs' and the variety of people they associate, but also feel if they can't be pleasant and respectful, perhaps they shouldn't be in that job position!

The park rangers and volunteers were great. The beach was beautiful and clean with an easy walk away from the campground. We were sad the store was closed, but there was a convenience store right outside of the park.

We loved the opportunities for hiking, biking, and exploring different habitats. Marshes and beaches and historical sites. Gulf and bay waters. Wonderful.

Had perfect weather every day!Enjoyed the beach access, seen eagles most every day.Also took the drive over to Johnson Beach a few days, had a great time.

Absolutely love this campground..The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Steve at the ranger station is great to work with. The beach is beautiful and there is so many hiking and bike riding trails.
