We have been to Ft Pickens campground many times over the years and love this National Seashore. Some improvements are being implemented, which are appreciated. The latest is the lighted keypad at the entry for night re-entry, although it would be much better if the numbers were backlit instead of the perimeter blue lights which are so bright that you can't see the keypad. In the past several years, we have seen the restrooms continue to deteriorate. Round toilet seats (from a home improvement store) have been mounted on elongated, commercial stainless steel toilets. Most shower seats have been broken and removed. The shower finishes are basically gone and there is a lot of mold & rust taking over. We would suggest sandblasting the entire interior one at a time and re-coating with an epoxy. These improvements would bring a world class park back to its prime.

I was in A19 with a 25' trailer and there wasn't enough room for the trailer and my truck. Wasn't a big deal but, I had to park my truck in the overflow lot. Loved the campground though. Clean and well kept.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hosts. The bathrooms were clean. There is a trail between loops A and B. Delightful. We were in loop A and friend in loop B. So fun going back and forth. Beach lovely. Thankful for our trip. The fort, the museum, the town. Wonderful.

As always a very nice place. The bathroom and shower facilities could stand a bit of updating, but otherwise adequate.

I came here as a child and then brought my children when they were young. This trip I brought my grandchildren. The beach was just as beautiful as I remember and if you wanted to be alone on the beach, you could walk a short distance and you were alone:)

Site A19 was a little tight, which is crazy since we have a teardrop camper, but it had the most shade. The quick walk to the beach was amazing. There was no air flow in the bath houses. Even after taking a cold shower, the moisture makes drying off impossible. Thats really the only complaint we had. The campground is quiet and clean. We really enjoyed it.

The campgrounds are very nice with well appointed and clean bathhouses. Loop A has a bit more space between sites and more trees, plus a nature trail. The other loops (B-E) are fine and there is a short path to the bay side beach. The park as a whole is great - white sand dunes and beaches on both bay and Gulf sides. Not crowded at all, wonderful Discovery center and rangers, easy access to Shops and services in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola, yet the park feels remote and wild. For history buffs the Fort is interesting too. It was cold for me in January. Probably more like swimming weather in March and April.

Stayed in loop A. Great camping experience for 2 adults, we bicycled to the fort and walked the seawall. Different trails to choose from.. Beach was beautiful white sand. Windy when we went and cool at end of Feb.. Only a few people at the beach and they had umbrellas to block the wind.

It was cold and rainy but we still had a fine time. The nature trails are perfect for grandkids to run around on and climb an occasional tree. Bathrooms are old, but they work. Walking around the Fort was very fun.

This was our first visit ever to Fort Pickens, the campground, and beach. What a beautiful place! Very clean, quiet, and great for riding bikes or just relaxing at the beach. We plan to return once the bay bridge is fixed.
