The bathroom and showers were disgusting this trip. I showed outside as the water was scolding and stinky in shower stalls. The womens large stall was backed up and stinky the entire weekend. No one came to do anything about until checkout on Sun.

We camped here the day after Thanksgiving and had a great time. We arrived after sunset and used the key code to enter the gate. Set up camp and had a peaceful evening. Nothing beats waking up to the sound of nature and a light rainfall. We used the facilities: clean and maintained well. Explored the grounds after breakfast and spotted a bald eagle too! Beautiful property right on the coastline! Well be back!

This was the first bad experience Ive had at Fort Pickens after camping there about 5 or six times in the past few years. The campsite attendants were pretty unfriendly. We had two adjoining campsites and they would frequently stop and nitpick our campsite. We had 2 tents per site (as allowed) and they would stop any tell us we had to only have two tents total and too bad if not everyone could fit inside of them. All of the sites around us had more than two tents per site and the rangers didnt appear to say anything to them at all. The campsite attendants appeared to be an older couple and kept threatening to tell the ranger on us.

Feel like this campsite has gone downhill a bit since the last time we visited. Electricity was taken from the tent sites which sucks, the mini store is closed (which I think they need to tell people before they arrive) so its a hassle to get ice/wood every day, the showers are absolutely disgusting and not maintained well at all, and the rangers that ride around are insanely strict and rude. I felt like I was being watched 24/7 which isnt very relaxing on a vacation. That being said, the access to the beach is really nice and you really just cant beat it. We will definitely be back, but will prepare a bit differently next time. Might bring a whole bin of Clorox wipes just for the showers ha!

A very beautiful campground. The only thing Id like to share is the bathroom and shower in the B/D camping section.Theres no laundry in this area as compared to the other side of the campground and theres no kitchen area to wash dishes. The showers could used an upgrade along with the short faucets themselves and the water pressure. Its very hard to wash your face in the bathroom when the water doesnt stay on and its only cold water. Fixing these things would greatly improve the overall satisfaction of this comment.

Good campsite with easy access to beach and trails around.Restroom has power outlet which is awesome if you need to use hair dryer.Showers are clean with very constant hot water, but the water flow is a joke.Basically it's a very tiny stream at the rate of 0.5 gal per minute, so be prepare to spend long time showering/waiting for other to finish showering.

We went on several hikes during our stay and enjoyed exploring the batteries. Fort Pickens has it all, beaches, bird watching, history, camping. It is one of our favorite places.

Spot B5 was a very nice, semi-private spot. The boardwalk across the road from the campgrounds has beautiful sunset views and leads to a beautiful stretch of beach.

The B Loop is very clean and quiet. It's just a short walk to reach the nature trail leading to the Fort. It has very easy access to the beach.

We camped in the B Loop--no electricity. The experience was amazing. The upgrades to the restroom facilities are wonderful. The toilets consistently flushed-a small thing, but not true in our past trips to Fort Pickens. The seafood at the restaurants in Gulf Breeze shouldn't be missed. On our one rainy day, the library was a safe and dry haven.

Love Fort Pickens -- our campsite was huge and secluded (B5) and the beaches are stunning, easily accessible and everything is so clean. We go back every year!

Our little campsite was great! Bathrooms were clean and the private showers as well. Our site was a half mile to the beach. It was gorgeous! Also had access to the Florida Scenic Trail literally a few steps away.

We are very glad that tent campers have designated areas, set away from RVs, trailers, motor homes, and the like.
Hope you will continue to plant native trees and shrubs between camp sites to enhance privacy.
My husband noted that the men’s restroom lacked a wastebasket.
I generally don’t like too much instructive signage- But, a sign over sinks to ask users to leave sink clean of toothpaste, debris, hair, etc. might encourage fellow campers to treat the restroom facilities like ‘home’ so the next person doesn’t have to deal with yucky sinks!
Thank you!

I love the four tent camping sites that are closest to the ocean.

We went on Thanksgiving day. There were no rangers there, no problem, but we could not leave because there would not have been a code. Then the next day when we checked in, it was almost like we had all this stuff to do because there was no one there. I almost felt like I was scolded by the person at the front. We should not have to stop at two places just to check in. Also, just role the fee to be in the park, into the fee for having a camping spot. I was surprised. Other than that, it was very nice.

If you love to have a beautiful beach mostly to yourself that is the allure of this park. The campground is well maintained and managed.
