Let me preface this review by stating that I have worked at campgrounds in both the Everglades and Yellowstone National park, so I my point of view is in contrast to how we ran things at those other NPS campgrounds. We checked in and got to the site at 1:30 and were told we would have to leave and wait until 2:00 on the dot to occupy the site. Having worked in two very busy campgrounds with over 200 sites within more popular National Parks the enforcement of this rule seemed so silly to me. In neither national park I worked in did we enforce the check in rule this harshly. If the site is vacated and clean there is no reason we shouldn't be able to set up camp. It was 30 minutes before the "official 2:00 check in" and we wanted to set up before the incoming storm. The site was clean, the fire pit had been cleared, from my view as a former employee within the park service there was no reason we shouldn't have been able to be on that site. I just found this to be ridiculous, and it kind of soured my feelings towards the camp host and the way the site was being managed. So we just went and sat in the camp store parking lot for 30 minutes, and then had to set up camp in the rain.
In addition to that the camp sites were mid. Shade on your site was luck of the draw, and the sites were close together leaving little privacy. The facilities all varied in newness and cleanliness. Only positive was how close it was to the beautiful beaches of the Florida panhandle.
Las playas son hermosas tú puedes escoger tu espacio en la playa los sites son un poco pequeños lo recomiendo

We absolutely love Fort pickens campground! Second year we have been and we will continue to return! We have recommended to everyone we know to stay here!
This is a very nice campground about 7 miles west of Pensacola Beach. At this time, there are no stores or open places on the Ft. Pickens site for purchase. All will need to be done in P'cola Beach of Gulf Breeze. Being there is March is not the hot time of the year, so unshaded campsites are generally fine. Some sites don't have any shade so in the summer expect it to be warm. It's clean and there are shower/restroom facilities throughout the campground. Watch the weather. Any tropical storms or hurricane in the Gulf may close the road. A nice campground. Quiet and a lot of beach within easy walking distance.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
