This was our 5th year coming to Fort Pickens. We will be back. We love the white sand, shore fishing and the overall pleasantness of everyone. Oh, and absolutely LOVE the Blue Angels practicing (to hear the roar of freedom).

The beach and area around is breathtaking l! We were very disappointed with the inability to use the sewer dump. Campers in A were allowed to dump but we were not. We paid just like they did and that was not ok.

Everything was great. Workampers were great. Only problem we had was when my wife went to the store the older ranger at the gate wasnt going to allow her back in even though she had the camping slip in the window. He said she had to have her own pass and was going to charge admission. She argued and was finally allowed in, this time he said, so she was stuck there unless i went out also

Trails were good. Fort remains and history above excellent. I liked all 3 of the campsites I stayed at(Loop A was my favorite). I appreciated having 2washers and dryers and an indoor dishwashing station and having a container filling water dispenser at the water fountain. The only area needing improvement is the bathhouses and showers. At the very least, they need a new coat of paint. They are dingy and outdated and even though cleaned well by staff daily, they didnt have a clean appearance. Also the walkways to the beach need replacing, as they are bowed, missing or almost missing pieces and could use railings for handicap and elderly senior access. I hope these things can quickly be repaired, by my next stay here next year. There is much to explore and the sunsets are spectacular.

A beautiful remote location. Both the channel facing and ocean facing beaches were lovely for walking. However, due to a storm the campground had to be evacuated for safety's sake. While I know that was the right thing to do, it did shorten our visit. So, be aware that being on this barrier island with a long drive to the nearest town, weather can be more severe and/or the road to the campground might need to be closed. That said, I would love to visit again.

Beautiful campground and being that close to the National Seashore is an awesome place to visit!

This place is very nice. Sites are a little close but for a major tourist area, you should expect that. Easy to drive to the beach or walk if you don't mind walking. Bicycles were everywhere but not a problem. Bathrooms were clean, showers were ok clean. No sewer hookups but we knew that. Will go back in the summer months.

Beautiful island! The sunrises and sunsets alone make the trip worthwhile. But we enjoyed exploring on the trails and around Fort Pickens as well. Learned some history while we were there. Love the birds. So many birds.

Loved walking on the sand; Walked down to Ft. Pickens on the Sound Side along the edge of the water - and back on the trail through the wooded area. Walked along the Beach area on the sand, picked up several beautiful shells. Loved the quietness of the campground and the renovated bath house/restrooms/shower facilities were very large and clean. Great experience for our FIRST time here !!

Amazing day spent at the Fort. Bike trail provides easy access for cycling from campground to fort

Love Fort Pickens! The area is beautiful! But no firewood to be found! If you like having a fire during your camp trip come prepared because they did not sell firewood and no local places had firewood. Also no change machine with laundry so bring plenty of quarters!

Such a nice park. Plenty of clean beaches. The RV spots were clean and level. Some of the spots were a little tight if you have a larger RV/Travel Trailer.
Plenty of things to keep you busy with the trails, fort and beaches.

Beautiful drive down Ft. Pickens Road with the water and sand dunes in both sides of the road! The dishwashing station was a great idea. Would have given 5 stars if there was sewage hookups!! We already have reservations to go back in July with our sons family!
