The campground was clean and comfortable. I loved the idea of providing buckets to take to the beach area to collect garbage. The showers were not the best but the restroom facilities were clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Half a mile way to ocean. Parking spot for 1 car, but there is overflow parking. No text pad and no food box, sites are close to each other. I enjoyed this camp. There isn't any wood to be gathered.Entrace might have a line best to not show up at peak time on weekend and better to stop by at walmart before getting to site, instead of after.

Great place to camp within walking distance to the beach. The civil war history was a bonus.

Beautiful island, nice shady campsite, lots to see at the fort and batteries. If you are looking for a rainy day destination nearby, go to the Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum. Well worth the visit!

Not many tent campers as the weather was so-so. Feel more st ease now that park rangers are making rounds. Overall better experience than last month

This was a great spot with shade! Bathrooms were nice! There was a water hydrant close by. Loved this little spot!

Super nice staff at check-in. Very clean campsite. And the beaches! Short walk to amazing white sand and beautiful gulf waters. If only other campers were more more respectful of usual camp quiet hours….

Clean, well kept, and had a bench and a fire tray. Could not have been more convenient!

Be sure to visit the picnic pavilion over at Battery Worth because there are lots of Osprey to watch. They fish, collect material to build their nests right there. I loved taking sunset pictures on the beach at Battery 234...great place for Sunsets and not too far to walk or bike! Find out the training schedule for the Blue Angels before you go. It’s fun watching them fly from Ft. Pickens.

Not perfect but very good.

We love Fort Pickens and have been camping there for 40 years (except years it was closed due to hurricane damage). However, money was spent to TAKE OUT the electricity in Loops B and D. We were told there would be charging stations but the only way to charge devices is to plug them in in the bathroom (or use an obnoxious generator). No one wants to stay in the bathroom while charging devices plus the plugs are right by the sinks so devices are at risk of getting wet. With no electricity, campers in Loops B and D can not use electric coolers. We need ice for our coolers (or again run an obnoxious generator). With no camp store, most of us have to drive into Pensacola Beach to buy ice every day or two. So there are many more people driving in & out of the park each day unnecessarily! It was a waste of money to take OUT the electricity. In the bathroom building for Loops B & D, only 2 of the 4 showers were available to use for our 2-week stay, which is totally unacceptable. With 42 campsites in Loops B & D, 2 usable showers is not reasonable. Campers in Loops B&D don't have rigs with showers, so they must use the shower in the bathroom. In addition, the two showers that were available were disgustingly dirty each and every day. The decision to take the water spigots out of each campsite and then put in fewer spigots scattered around Loops B and D never made any sense. The rule about parking our vehicles on the paved pad is not enforced. If vehicles don't fit on the parking pad, they should be in the overflow parking areas. We love Fort Pickens, but we are so very disappointed with situations that are fixable. I wish the money spent on the ferry and on taking electricity and water out of two loops had been spent on improvements in the campground. Both the trail from the campground to the Fort and the trail from the campground out to Langdon need work - between soft sand and big roots poking up, it is difficult to ride a bike.

Wonderful campground. We camped in a tent in the B loop. Quiet and out of the way. The staff were all helpful.
