Overall great campsite. Showers were a little grubby but they are in the process of updating them. Long overdue but at least they're tackling them now. Not sure if it was an over zealous camp host, but I got a "violation" notice for my car not parked correctly even though all four tires were on the tarmac. When I asked about it I was told "Well to get at that angle you must have driven on the grass" I did not, but whatever. If the THINK you drove on the grass, you get a notice. I saw several trucks backing up and forth on the grass and nothing was said to them. On the plus side (so to speak) our slide got stuck out on departure day. The host said no one was incoming into our site so said take your time. I appreciated that!

The campsite is a little narrow and the 11' height is accurate but overall it is very nice. This section of the campground, Loop b, c, d and e, has 2 washers and 2 dryers for about 3 times the occupancy in loop A which also has 2 washers and dryers. The most recently added bathroom/shower/laundry building had the space to add two more washers and dryers, which was not done. Considering that the washers and dryers are now being serviced by a private firm, the addition of additional washers and dryers should be revisited. The current laundry space is being utilized for storage, which could be moved to the old abandoned bathroom.

Lots of space between spots and ample showers/toilets. Make sure to bring a dump tank of you are going to use your camper shower as there is not sewer.

We enjoyed our stay here! Nice and clean spaces. Plenty of trails to walk, the beach is within walking distance as is the fort. We will definitely be back!

As always lovely location and perfect weather. Site was clean. The shower rooms do need updating. Missing hooks to hang towel or clothes and lighting is pretty low so makes it hard to see well. Water is nice and hot though!

Nice park, but there are many low trees over roadways in A, C and E loops.
These need trimmed as they pose a danger to damaging taller rigs and the trees as well.
Talking to rangers and camp hosts it seems they don't want to take care of the problem.

I've had better trips. Gov need spend money on their sites and road to Ft Pickens. Their very low and needs gravel. The pads are not wide enough so you cant sit outside. Our site was flooded bad.
