The park was great along with access to the beach, the bay and the fort. Loved camping there and will definitely be back in the future.Just one thing that needs attention... The bathrooms needed better cleaning.

We had a great time at the campground, but unfortunately, some items were taken from our site. I know theft can be difficult to prevent, so let's all be cautious and look out for each other.

Best campground in Florida!

The campsites were very small and i didn't have enough room for our camper and vehicle to fit. I had to park my truck down the road in overflow. The bathrooms didn't have any soap dispensers that worked. All were broken off. The showers need some attention. The location was nice and had pretty beaches.

Most excellent. Rangers were courteous and kind and hosts were helpful. Bathrooms and showers were clean and in good working condition. Love the store at the fort too!

Beautiful white dunes at surrounding beaches and good roads & trails for bike riding.
Management of camping at this park can make things difficult for the visitor. Office where they want you to register closes at 4pm - even if you have reserved online & prepaid they want you to come back the next day to register (it would be nice if the park ranger or camp host could also do this). My campsite was flooded from heavy rain the night before - there was no note to see camp host or where the camp host was located. Finally found a camp host that could help me get another site & hiked a mile in heavy rain the next morning back to the office to register.

Fort Pickens is a hidden gem. Miles of beautiful white sand and waves. Great, camping facilities: electricity, water, showered and laundry room. Not many people. What could be better. And $20 a night with our senior pass.

Unfortunately, wind storm that blew sand dunes and required heavy equipment to clean the roads, made it impossible for me to stay and enjoy my planned time at the campground at Fort Pickens. I left the campground at the early am hours prior to Dawn.
I hope for future visits to this otherwise lovely place where nature meets with peace.

The campground is clean and well managed. A quiet spot to go and relax, walk, or ride. Beach is beautiful.
Currently the main bridge is out and make things challenging, but if u go prepared it is not a bother. Keep in mind it is 10 miles from anything.
