Had a great time!

I went in the winter and it was frigid. The campground and amenities were great. The restroom was heated. The streets were cleared of sand. The beach was beautiful. The trails were well maintained, marked and accessible. Some of the sites had standing water on rain days but mine was fine.

More cover is needed. Why not plant some trees and bushes. Felt like I was in a parking lot.

We enjoyed getting away from the main tourist area of Pensacola and exploring the fort.

Booked for three stays and was evacuated twice. Not a reliable place to camp. Had to scramble for other accommodations and was left hanging as to what to do or how it worked. Restroom soap ran out for several days. Not maintained properly.

Easy to make reservations on line. The park staff was very helpful. The site were easy to get into and the National Park was beautiful, clean and not crowded with plenty of beach and ocean all to ourselves.

Close to the water, quiet, spacious and lots of trails to walk.

Fort Pickens is our all time favorite campground, due to the many activities surrounding the campground. From the Fort, to the pier, the Blue Angels (we sat on the beach and watched them three times this trip), to the bike trail from the campground to the Fort, Langdon beach, I could go on and on. Even though we had gotten total rain four out of the ten days of our trip, we loved every minute of our stay.
