Park was nice and quiet. Make sure your rv and vehicle can fit on your site. some are short. otherwise have to park in overflow parking. bring ant poison. had 8 ant fire ant mounds on our site. Very nice recently renovated restrooms and showers. Beaches close by. Fort Pickens just down the road. You need a National Park pass to get in or it cost $25 for a 1 to 7 day pass. If you have a toad don't unhook until you are thru the National Park gate otherwise you pay separately for entrance. stayed in site E24 in a 32 ft class c towing a jeep. Ranger at the national park booth watched us unhitch our jeep from behind our class c, but when we drove thru made us pay $25 to drive jeep thru separately because only one of us had an America the Beautiful card. Would not let my husband go thru with card then walk back out and come thru with card in jeep. Said only way we could come thru without paying was to hook jeep back up to class c. I understand the rules, but he was very rude and gave us no grace even though he saw us unhook

Great place, but very unreliable cell data services. I had to go to the end of the island for internet connection, because I work a couple of hours each day. It seemed like they had some kind of blocker in the campground on data services.

Prompt friendly informative service, excelling hard copy maps and clean well maintained campsite. This was icing on the cake of spending time on one of the cleanest, idyllic beaches we have ever visited in our trips across the USA. White sandy beaches, emerald shores, warm waters, fishing piers. Bays safe for kayaking and a tour boat is at the Fort Pickins for cruising. We will be coming back as soon as we can, two weeks barely scratched the surface.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff helped us plan our visit to get the most out of the park and Pensacola. Saved us a trip trying to get into the Naval Musuem since it's still closed to the general public. Enjoyed the fort itself, moonrise and sunset photography, and biking to nearby Pensacola Beach. Campsite was also very nice. Good to see a variety of sites to best accommodate different needs.

We have visited this park many times and the road to it has been understandably closed on several occasions due to high water thus preventing either ingress or egress but this time park authorities forced everyone to evacuate twice in one week for 24 hour periods stating that medical emergencies could not be responded to. Thus, rather than giving RV owners the option of evacuating, based upon their own considerations, all 150 plus RV`s were forced to seek alternative housing arrangements for an indeterminate period of time in a geographic area where bookings are extremely limited for many miles around, often requiring bookings up to one year in advance. This was a bureaucratic bungle calculated to ostensibly protect the health of a very few at the expense of the many. I sincerely doubt that private enterprise would so callously deal with its patrons.

Narrow roadway and low hanging tree limbs make difficult maneuvering a 12 high and 37 5th wheel camper.

We really enjoyed the tour of the Fort! We also saw the Blue Angels practice. We watched them from the sea wall and it was a spectacular view! We stayed 3 nights in loop E. The restrooms were clean. Although the campsites are in close proximity, it was fairly quiet and I would stay there again.

Lots of places to walk to and the fort is so cool. Not to mention the beautiful sunrise and sunsets on each side of the island you have the Pensacola Bay on one side and the gulf on the other. Very private and quiet. We will be coming back

I can’t believe we did this, but we came one day early, but to our delight there was a space for us over nite! The staff was so helpful and kind. Even tho we only had 2 days before we had to evacuate due to Fred the tropical storm we had a wonderful time! Looking forward to another trip there in October!

Great staff, super clean and modern camp facilities and low number of people on the beaches makes for very relaxed time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This is one of my favorite parks. The sites in the campground are a bit close together and don’t offer much privacy, but the park is a simply wonderful place to visit and explore!
