Ft Pickens is a treasure! The campground is very well maintained & personnel were very friendly. The only downside were the huge ant mounds at the edge of the campsite pad, around the fire ring & all around the site. I accept that it is a natural environment and one should be prepared for insects, snakes & wild animals but having so many ants right by the campsite made it so difficult to sit outside. I love Ft Pickens & hope to camp there again but do wish something could be done with the ants around the sites.

The campground could use some updates. The drives are short and almost anyone with a trailer has to park in overflow parking. The showers in loop E were horrendous. The ones in loop D only slightly better. BUT, location location location, you cannot beat it!!! Beaches are beautiful, Ft Pickens was interesting to explore and there are nice trails.

A popular campground if your fine with water/electric and want to be at the beach. The price is right, and there is ample room for biking, hiking, swimming and fishing. You can also occasionally catch a Blue Angels practice from the fort. The only downside for me is that during cool weather when you want your windows open, you have the people next door who must have a smoky fire because they're "camping". During hot weather it's not as bad because many people aren't going to sit by a fire and you are able to close up your rv and switch on the air.

O love thenhisyory and walking around the fort. The campground is small but people need to remember when it was build, it was for smaller units.

This was the most relaxing vacation I have taken in a long time. The water was so beautiful and you could have privacy on the beaches. A bonus was the Blue Angels practice show. The camp hosts and workers were all so friendly. Will definitely be back.

Everything was clean !! Front office gate the young man was super nice and the young man in check in was super nice an very helpful. The park was absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️

I am so upset with the new length rules. We will not be allowed to come back even though we have visited here many times. The lady that checked us in was extremely rude too. The shack where you pay for parking was super nice. He told us what to do and sent us to the campground check in. That lady was rude and said nothing they tell you at the gate is true they will tell you anything! He was only telling us how stapling the receipt to the campground pass was helpful. She would not do it. So stupid! Anyway please consider changing the length restrictions.

Wonderful location, the restrooms and showers should be updated and cleaned more often, but it was still a great place to stay.I missed trash cans in the restrooms and shower area, ppl now just throw used tampons and such (!) under the bench in the shower.. maybe trashcans can avoid that kind of behavior.

Loved the white sands of the Gulf Shores with a history education. Did not know the existence of the fort and its history.

Beautiful beaches. The beaches are so pretty the campgrounds could be crap and I wouldn't care. I do wish there was closer parking access to the beach for campers only.

First time in B section. It was very wet. Pensacola Restaurants were packed but food did not disappoint!

Grass was long when we arrived and wasn't mowed in the 7 days we stayed there. Beaches are easy to access, all in all, a very good place to stay.

The sites are so nicely set up and clean. Great rest rooms and showers. And endless places to walk and fish And if you want lots of town things nearby. Live it here
