Beautiful campground, clean bathrooms, friendly hosts. We are hopeful some of the campsites will be extended someday to accommodate the larger campers that are now popular. Its hard to find an open reservation for a camper over 32 feet.

Love the campgrounds, the only thing is the beaches are full of people fishing everyday up till about 12/1 pm. That makes it hard for kids to swim, they should not be able to fish right in front of where family's park to take the kids to the beach! They should have to go to the right or left by 150 yards at least.

Quiet campground with spacious sites in a natural historic area. Fort Pickens is a beautiful park to enjoy the beach without a crowd. The white sandy beach was clean and the calm blue gulf waters were amazing. Saw several dolphins playing too! We took our camper Memorial weekend and the campground wasnt full. Several families were tent camping as well. The bathroom and shower house could definitely need remodeling or at least a good scrubbing. The campground also offers a laundry room and a dishwashing area. We love the slower quiet pace here and cannot wait to come back.

This is a nice campground for smaller campers or tents. About 30 is as long as will fit. No store in the park. Supplies are 7 miles one way. The fort is cool to explore and the beaches are excellent

The camp hosts we very helpful and friendly. The showers need to be deep cleaned more often, to get the stains and grime off the walls. The laundry room floor was swept, but the corners and walls were covered in dust, dirt and spider webs. Also a lot of ants, because of ant beds against the building at the door way.

Wonderful beaches, beautiful sunrises/sunsets, ghost crabs, the fort, Blue Angel flybys, great RV sites, friendly campground hosts, turtle nests, and so much more. We enjoyed it so much, we had to stay one more night. I would definitely stay here again.

It wasour first vist toFort Pickins. We Camped in area C with a 26' travel trailer. I was bit surprised @ how close campsites were to each other. It left backing into the site a bit tight even after the others moved their trucks. The beaches were clean and nice. The restrooms were cleaned everyday. We rode our bikes almost everywhere. The Blue angles practice (on certain dates) was great and we never left the park. We plan to go back in a couple years.

The ocean on one side and the bay on the other is lovely. You can stand on the same beach and see the sunrise and the sunset over the ocean. Although a storm displaced us for a part of our stay, we still had a great time. The walking and bike trails are great. This is an exceptional campground for those wanting to enjoy the beauty of nature. Many of the sites are short, so pay attention to the lengths.

Not right on the beach but very close. Clean, level sites with water and 50/30 electric hookups, cement pad and fireplace. Wed never camped at a National park before and really enjoyed meeting the nearby campers from all over the country. Sunsets are spectacular! Beaches are amazing! Dunes are incredible. We truly enjoyed watching the sand being plowed while home in NY they were plowing feet of snow.

We love the beaches and the campground at Fort Pickens. This year wasnt as good as previous years as our grass wasnt cut and the camp host werent the friendliness or most accommodating.

My expectations after reading reviews were pretty spot on with our experience. The sites are close together, trees are sparse, and bath house is dated but serviceable. We enjoyed the location, the blue angels practicing, the fort was cool and the sand is in powder white. We did get evacuated prior to a major storm system which put a wrench in our plans. The storm was destructive and spawned tornadoes in other parts of the South but nothing really happened at the park so it was a pain for no reason but I get it. It is a lovely area and we enjoyed the sun and breeze during our stay. We were trying to escape the northern chilly weather and we were happy to do it in this park. Would go again.

The campground was very well maintained and clean. There was only two complaintsfirst the water pressure was not very goodand the people with dogs was overwhelming a lot of other campgrounds limit you to two animals but because their is not a limit many campers had four petscats and dogs combined and the dogs all seemed to stop right at out campsite and pee next to our spotthe urine smell was unpleasantand more than one person took their dogs onto the beach even though dogs were only permitted in certain areasthe no dogs on the beach was not enforced very well. We really like the location and will still continue to camp at Fort Pickens when we are able.

As soon as you leave Pensacola Beach and go through the gate at the park, you feel like you are in another world. Beautiful sand and ocean, quiet and serene. We camped in Campground C which was tight getting into our space with other campers around us but we made it fine. Beaches are within walking distance from the campground. December the beaches were private with only a handful of walkers to see the sunsets. All the campgrounds were pretty full but beaches were not. We enjoyed visiting the Fort and Batteries to see the history in the area. You could hear the jets each day from the Naval Base but by the time you hear them they are gone and can't see them. By the Fort you could actually see them landing across the bay. We will be back. It's a great winter get-away.

Be cautious if bringing a large camper. I feel that during booking it could have been more clear that while the parking spot is large enough, the road IS NOT accommodating for a large camper. There are some low hanging tree limbs that cut it VERY close on the loop in. The spot is plenty large enough for a 42' fifth wheel (although they don't advertise that), but parking can be tricky on such a narrow road unless you are keen on how to jackknife a trailer. Pulling out is a different story. The spots are so close to one another, and the roadway so narrow, it is impossible to pull out of these spots without talking with your neighbors first about how you are going to be all up in their business. I had to ask the neighbor across the way to move his tow rig so that I could swing wide enough into the roadway with the trailer so as to not encroach upon my neighbor to the immediate left. Maybe there are some other spots that are better for larger campers, but not this one.BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS THE STAFF AT THE CHECK-IN. WHAT A PIECE OF WORK THAT WOMAN WAS! Must be nice being a federal employee with zero accountability for the way you treat us lowly peasants...

Great place to camp - Wish the store was open. Electric pole on C32 was about 10 feet to far for my trailer. Glad I had an extention cord! I would go back!
