We absolutely loved this place!! Our campsite was so lonely and inviting! The A loop definitely has the best sites, with only a short walk to the beach! The facilities were clean and inviting. We will definitely be back!

Always a great place to camp. We had to wait until the storm damage was cleaned up, but it was worth the wait

Pristine beaches with not so pristine bathrooms. My family stayed in site A042 first week in June. This site is no doubt best in campground. Closest to the beach, short walk to bathhouse, and large spacious site with some shade. The bathrooms were rugged and honestly the only downfall of coming here. At best they was cleaned every other day. Even when it was cleaned the dirt was pretty much just pushed around. We talked to camp host and park rangers and only answer was we notified maintenance and the good cleaning guy was out for few days. The toilet seat in one of the stalls has been broken since our last visit. The walls were chipping paint and some mold and in desperate need of a paint job in bathroom and in the showers. It was not so much fun trying to shower a 4yr old and keeping them from touching things. The NPS should honestly be embarrassed at the care of the bath house.

The restrooms were constantly out of toilet paper and just grungy. The first shower bay had no hot water and all the floors were covered in hair (we think people washed their dog in one of them). The campground itself is lovely and we'll be back, but the bathrooms were just awful.

The check in staff was great and very helpful. The Park Rangers were to gun ho, I was in the process of leveling my camper and he got out of the vehicle and proceeded towards me to have me move my vehicle because a portion of my tire was on the ground. I told him I would be finished in 5-10 mins and then he left. The grass wasnt mowed and weeds everywhere. They need to replace the grill fire rings they were rusted really bad and half gone. No comments on the Camp Host didnt have any interactions with them.

The Fort is really interesting and well worth the short drive to see it. We prefer Campground Loop A but there are low lying trees. They say no vehicle taller than 12 feet. Reservations made check in very easy and the park ranger was terrific.

Beautiful beach just very short walking distance across the campground. Clean and hot showers. No full hookups but the location alone is 5 stars.

The park is close to our home and one of our favorites. It could use a bit of attention in a few areas, but overall it's a good experience. Bring your bikes and binoculars. The beach is easy to get to and beautiful all year round.
