The campground and surrounding area were very nice.

The beach is amazing. Maybe even more so during the winter months when theres almost no one there and you get to enjoy the beauty of the sand and the sand dunes and the birds and glorious emerald green waters. The campground is always clean and well maintained. Its really nice to have hot showers and a clean restroom.

This is a beautiful location and wonderful campground. I was here for just one night, and will certainly camp here again. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I reserved D025, which is listed as an ADA site. One thing about it is that there is not an accessible path to the picnic table for a wheelchair user, such as myself. I hope this will be addressed. Best. Eamon.

D loop (tent camping) was fantastic. The restroom was clean and heated. And who doesnt want a warm shower. Its an easy walk to the beach side and the bay side. The history of the fort is very interesting. Ive stayed there many times and its one of my favorite places to visit.

Beautiful white sandy beaches.

We had a great time. In fact, we booked a site on the non electric for 4 additional nights. We are completely solar, and it was the first time we actually dry camped.

Clean restrooms and showers. Plenty outdoor activities to do whether it's going to the beach, fishing, or just exploring the Fort. We had a wonderful time tent camping at this location. Everything was peaceful, everyone was respectful, and the staff was friendly in every aspect. We will be returning soon.

We have been enjoying Fort Pickens campground for the last 20 years, at least and we love it. The rangers at the park entrance and at the check-in office are always helpful and very friendly. However, many things have changed and make the experience on the campground less enjoyable. The new rules prohibiting hanging clothesline or enjoying hammock on camping sites are too strict. If there is any scientific reason that says that this is harmful for the trees, we understand it.
We can see that the janitors and the volunteers are doing their best to keep the bathroom and showers clean, we don’t complain. But, in loop E the showers’ walls and curtains are dark of mold. This is a health hazard for the campers. We believe that it would not take much to address the cleanliness issue. New curtains and a gallon of bleach will go a long way towards making us feel better about using them.
We understand that it is imperative to save water. But in loop D, the showers are just a trickle of water, and it takes a long time to wash. As a consequence of that, a long line is often formed in front of these showers. We really prefer the old showers in that loop that are currently closed.

I love this place! We stayed at D25. I got chastised by the ranger for booking a handicap accessible spot but I had no idea so you guys might want to work on that on your website. The bathrooms and showers by our camp were constantly clogging up. Overall though it’s amazing.

Good location. Have to be careful about low limbs if you're over nine feet tall.
