This is the second time weve stayed here and we like everything about it. The spaces are level and clean, shaded, the bathroom facilities are always clean. We enjoy the bike trails and the beautiful white sandy beaches and beautiful water. We like visiting the Battery and the history.

This was such a great experience. The campgrounds are nice and everyone seemed to be very friendly. Getting out and seeing the history of the Fort Pickens was exciting. The beaches were my favorite thing. I love that you can go to the beach right across from your campsite along with the other campers but yet still have your own space. The walking/bike trails are nice place to walk your dogs. Overall my experience was EXCELLENT!!

First time ever visiting Fort Pickens and it was a last minute one night thing but we were extremely pleased with the campground and the site I chose! We will definitely stay there again!

First time camping at Ft. Pickens and in the Pensacola area. We really enjoyed the beaches and the surrounding area. Lots of places to visit.

Imagine, out of 331.9 million people in the United States, we were two fortunate people to camp at and enjoy Ft. Pickens Campground!

Our first trip here. Wonderful experience ~ we have a 36’ Class A and Loop A, site 40 was perfect!! Privacy between next site and a short walk to the boardwalk! We LIVE in Navarre and had never been there before!!! New to the camping world but this was 4 days of bliss!!!

We were nervous due to a tropical storm caused flooding and closed the road into the campground but it opened a day before our arrival. Great place to camp.

Our family were in Loop A. Very nice. The campground appeared to be well maintained. The park staff was friendly in providing information about the park and rules to help maintain it's quality. The old fort and gunnery sites were very interesting. Nice tour provided by the park staff of the old fort. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The view of Pensacola deep water harbor is wonderful. The walking and biking trails are very good for nature lovers as myself. The boardwalk to the beach so so as it is still needing repairs from past storm damage, Saw birds of prey nesting, and many other birds. Saw a alligator turtle and other species turtles from a small walking bridge over a creek. These creatures were just as fascinated with us watching them as we were of them. Saw Herons in tree tops all the chirping and drama a parent goes through feeding their young. Very relaxing recreational park. Do have all your essentials with you. The park store is currently closed. We did not use the bath facilities as everything we need is on board in the RV. Take care in driving around Loop A RV to avoid potential issues with the tree limbs of the trees that line the roadway in beautiful manner. Certain will visit again. Yes do plan reservations far in advance if you plan staying in a RV, the park is very popular. I had to plan six months out to get an reservation. There is an additional gate fee at the park entrance, not included in the camping fees. It was right around $27 dollars or something like that. It is good for I think it was six or seven days. Hope to return again next spring, if I an get an reservation. No site stayed empty during my visit at all. As soon as someone pulled out by afternoon it was filled. Busy busy campground.

Stayed on Site A40 (tent): Not many tents in this loop at all, and it was louder at night than we expected with generators, furnaces, and engine noise from the RVs all around us, which unfortunately drowns out the nearby beach/waves and nature sounds. Was hoping it would be quieter in the smaller loop (versus the busier Loops B, C, D, etc.). Clean bathrooms, easy access to a lovely short nature trail (Blackbird Marsh) and the Florida Trail (great for biking to/from Fort Pickens, the Battery, etc.). The Beach Access across the road is closed right now from hurricane damage, so that wasn't as convenient as we had hoped.
