We love the private beaches, so beautiful. . We enjoyed the nature trails and exploring the dirt and batteries. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful.

We LOVE staying at Fort Pickens campground! Weve stayed 2 summers in a row and hated to leave both times. Weve spent hours at the beach side and then swap for the bay side each day. Our kids love exploring the military relics, trails, and shorelines. Its our favorite destination!

Loved everything about this campground except for the bathrooms. They are dated and SO DANG HOT that it feels like they are being used as a smelting plant. Even in the morning when it is cool outside the bathrooms are still unbearably hot! There is some kind of air handler, but it only serves to distribute the hot air. So unless you have an RV with AC and bathroom/shower you won't like using the bathhouse. With that said, I would still go back because everything else is great.

What a great place by the ocean. Camp hosts very pleasant. Bathrooms for the most part clean. Our site was out in the open not among trees as some of the others. Overall great experience.

While there for the two weeks we were treated great by staff and especially the campground host in Loop A. We did get evacuated for one night due to expectation of high seas. I know a lot of people were upset but I understand the park has to look out for everyone’s safety. I will definitely be back.

This is a super campground on the north side of Pensacola Beach. The beach is stunning and private! We toured the Fort one day. After that we were actually RV bound due to a storm that covered the road and prevented people from coming in or leaving. We will definitely come back!

Quiet at night. Lots of activity by day. Easy access to sugar sand beaches. Rich history at the fort. Good restaurants and other facilities nearby.

Excellent campground. Very scenic area. The site is clean, and well provisioned with showers, and even a laundry facility. I would highly recommend this campground, and would definitely stay there again in future.

The campground exceeded our expectations. While a tight fit for a 30' overall length plus truck, the site was level and clear. A loop is well laid out and access to the beach, trails, Fort Pickens, etc. was great.

On of our favorite places on earth. So quiet and relaxing. Even on the cold rainy days we love it here

This is our second visit to Fort Pickens and we did not want to leave. Great Location with lots to do - Nature Paths, Bird Watching, Bike Riding and over course the beaches. My husband had fun fishing off the pier. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We plan to go again. We did really enjoy the Brunch at George Bistro & Bar in Pensacola. Excellent Food and Service. Well worth the drive over. We also enjoyed dinner at Peg Leg Pete's. Our only disappointment was not seeing the Blue Angels but that's a question of timing and not a reflection on the campground. The Navy planes flying over was treat. We saw a variety of aircraft including jets, helicopter and an osprey.

Campsite was fine. Water and electric worked fine. Dump station fine. Beach, as always, superb. Discovery Center and small bookstore very good. The Florida Trail/bicycle trail was overgrown, exposed roots can throw a person off the bike, and deep mud that was impossible to cross with children. Saw several water moccasins along the overgrown trail, and with vegetation far too close, we chose the road for bicycling for safetys sake. Could be simply cured with fill to root height as well as to fill the mud pit, and getting aggressive with the overgrowth.

Wish they would modernize this great park with my hard earned tax dollars. Spots are small, bathrooms are dirty and dated, as well as 2000*C. Overall we love the park but should be more accommodating for larger modern campers.

Wonderful trip except for the weather. They closed the campground for one night due to severe weather moving into the area. We had no idea! Thankfully a wonderful ranger came by and shared what was going on and she offered suggestions of other campgrounds in the area to check with for the night.

Our reservation at Fort Pickens was shortened 2 nights due to incoming storms. NPS sent us an email saying they were evacuating the whole park by noon of our arrival day. The email came that morning and we were able to snag additional nights at the state park we were in. They seem to be extremely cautious of the road flooding and washing over with sand and I do understand that. Talking with other campers who had to leave, the storm was not very bad. They remained closed for 2 days. Like I said, I understand their cautiousness, but we were disappointed our trip was shortened. Not sure I understand why the 2 days, no additional communication other than they were open. We will return as it was a great treasure!
