Great campground. Beach was beautiful. Had a couple of cold days, but that didnt stop things. Well worth visiting and staying there. The Gulf Island National Seashore was awesome to see. Fort Pickens is worth the visit for sure.

We love this campground and area! Been coming for years. The only downside is the facilities. The showers are awful and they havent changed in years. Needless to say, we keep coming, but it would be nice if they at least pressure washed them and threw some bleach in there every once in a while.

Ft. Pickens was a favorite over the past 4 yrs, but poor management, poor communication, over crowding, Harley motorcycles speeding thru campgrounds, dirty laundry, dump station poor reconfiguration, inadequate bike paths, & campers whose sites resemble homeless encampments caused me to leave. Wont return!

We enjoyed riding our bikes to the fort, watching the Blue Angels practice. and the short walk to the beautiful gulf beach. It was a short drive to restaurants and other attractions if thats your thing. We will definitely be back!

New, more strict rules have been implemented regarding parking and size of campers. I understand these new rules because people, in general, are disgusting. They bend or disregard rules. I get it. With that said, the park needs to improve its own image as well. I have been coming to Ft. Pickens for over 20 years, my wife all of her life. The park has never been in worse shape. For the last 5-6 years the grass is not maintained. The showers are filthy! The store used to be open providing camping essentials. That hasn't happened for many years! We will continue to come to your park, if your new camper length restrictions allow our entire group to come. But you also need to improve the quality of the product as well.Thank you!

Such an interesting area. The sugar sand beaches are beautiful and the fort is fun to explore. Great bike riding!

Great experience at the park as every trip but ruined by the rude and bossy Host

So enjoyed the friendly rangers at the gate, the trails, getting to tour the historic sites, the access to both the Bay and the Gulf, the paved campsites. If you love easy trails, this is it. I think this campground will be excellent in the cooler months. The sites from the batteries are magnificent. Also just down the highway is Santa Rosa and Navarre beaches, with the emerald clear water. A peaceful place, electric & water hookups, and easy dump station. My one complaint is that either the staff is too short of personnel or the rain hampered the mowing in BCDE loops. Also, beware that in heavy rain many sites in BCDE flood for several days. Loop A does not flood, no standing water. I will return.

We've camped here in our RV since 2004. The sites are large and level. Not a lot of shade in some sites, so it can get very hot in the summer.

The only thing not outstanding during our visit was the weather. We were there in January 2021, and had very rare cold weather. The park, accommodations, and people were all outstanding. Even with the cold, the beaches were remarkable, the walking and biking trails were excellent. We booked a return visit while we were there.
