I love Ft. Pickens. I have been camping there for up to 20 years. I camped in loop B with the old bathrooms!! I have to say the current state of bathrooms was horrible. They were never cleaned and i just stayed for a week. Tampons were in the shower and left for days, even after we asked the potty patrol to clean them. The campground was practically full. The Blue Angels were in town and it was embarrassing for this National Park to be so unkempt and the bathrooms at the Fort were awful as well. Toilets were overflowing we did tell the campground host and they did what they could. So disappointing.

First of all this is a beautiful place in the world. But on my recent visit ( last week of May 2024) the crabgrass was high at the campsites ( yuk) and the showers are in dire need of an upgrade- just gross. Camp hosts were gracious and overall it is so much fun there. Just some general tuning would be appreciated.

My favorite campground! But site D6 is very problematic if it rains. The entire site was under 10 inches of water after a morning storm. Thankfully, we were able to move sites, but if its busy youll be out of a place to put your tent.

Beautiful beach and setting . Never disappoints. Some suggestions for improvement Board walk to beach needs repair, need more wash stations in tent area, and better paved access needed to bath house from back side of D/E tent area.

Restrooms very clean but showers dirty and aging.Sites too close one from another and noisy due to a late arrival of a Family.But very Nice place close to Beaches and Nice walks around.

This little island has so many options. The Fort is great. Both the bay and the ocean are easy to get to. All the little batteries are just a cherries on top.

This is a very nice place to camp! Beautiful sunsets on the beach! My only complaint was that the quite hours was not enforced. We had a neighboring site run a generator ALL night! I called the office the first night they came in, and 3 times the next night. No response or action was taken, so I was very disappointed that my sleep was affected by a selfish camper and lack of enforcement.

Campground area that we stayed in was mostly shaded which was nice for our summertime visit. The beach was easily accessible from our area as was the old fort and other points of interest. My only complaint would be the lack of a camp store which we didn't know about before going in. It was shown on a map of the campground but the store looked as if it had not been open in years.
