Need to make sites longer so we can park our truck with camper. Most campers only need an extra 5 feet, you would only need to remove the parking slabs. also everyone around us was complaining about the camp host being rude, but we didn't have any problems other then the hard looks at our truck being close to the road. Lot's of complaining but one of the nicest places we have visited in Florida. just don't have a camper over 24 feet long or you might have to park your truck way over in the overflow parking lot.

The campground was very clean and the hosts were friendly. The beaches are absolutely amazing with the soft white sands and natural surrounding. There were so many birds singing - it was so peaceful and serene. A quick walk to the beach to catch the amazing sunrises and sunsets was the highlight. There is so much history at Fort Pickens and it was all very accessible and free. We rode our bikes all throughout different monuments and learned a lot about that era.We loved the area and were lucky to find pickleball courts at a nearby park that had free and open play. We will definitely come again especially in the winter months when its quieter and pleasant temperatures. Loved the National Seashore !

We stayed in loop E. The campground is nice, but a bit overcrowded with spaces very close together. The worst part are that the bathrooms were not cleaned timely and the showers were in serious need to repair and cleaning - they were disgusting. The dish washing sink was stopped up and overflowing for 2 days. We will not be back.

The fort was the biggest historical fort Ive toured. Really neat architecture and the gun powder tunnels were fun to explore. Blue Angel practices were amazing and the coastline so beautiful!! Great place to visit.

We absolutely love this park. The ablutions in the main campground need some work but other than that we love the park.
Major Issues

A storm came through and the next day the made us leave. There wasn't any electricity and there was standing water but our site was high enough that we were fine. They could have locked the bathrooms/showers but allowed us to stay if we wanted to. Our camper was self contained so we would have been fine. They did not help or give any recommendations as to where we could go. As we were from Wisconsin and not familiar with the area. The staff was rude and not helpful.

We had to vacate early because of rising tidal flooding on the island.

Outstanding time spent. Rangers were kind and respectful and very helpful. Facilities were cleaned daily but do need daily maintenance (leaking showers). It was more than expected and will plan to visit again and again. Outstanding job by the people working there. Plan to walk a lot and lots of history to explore.

Loved this place mostly because of the proximity to some beautiful beaches. The forts were cool to explore as well. I didn't like that I was surprised to have to pay an additional 27$ to camp on the us land after I had already made a 40$ purchase to stay at their site. It was a surprise that wasn't wasn't explained when I booked the site. That being said, it was still worth it.

Campground was very disappointing. Uncut grass. Moldy unvented showers. Trashy campers and sites due to poor policing from campground host. The layout of the sites is poor at best. Many are too small and could easily be increased in size to accommodate the equipment. For a national park campground it leaves a lot to be desired. Most likely would not book in the future without updating facilities and better organization. Beaches, birds and blue angels were enjoyable.

The location is beautiful. The campground is showing it's age. The showers are poorly lit, lack anywhere to put dry clothes or towels.
The Rangers at the Visitor Center are the great. They try their best to accommodate visitors and answer all questions. The campsite itself was clean. I was disappointed that the Book Store in the Fort itself was closed on the Friday I visited. A must see at Fort Pickens is the sunset over the Gulf, and the most spectacular white sand beaches. I wish there was a dog beach within the National Seashore. It was somewhat inconvenient to unhook our RV and drive outside the parks boundaries so our pup could experience the beautiful surf. Also, it's an easy bike ride from the campgrounds to the Fort. I love this place.
Beautiful park with access to the fort, beach and bay areas. Campground itself was a bit close, not much privacy but again, access to the island itself was the prime attraction.

Really Enjoyed 2 Nights RV Stay. Our first visit to Ft Pickens. Enjoyed that its a short walk to the beach. RV Lot was level and had fire pit and picnic table as well as water and Power.

The overall experience of the property is wonderful. The campground is well manicured and clear of trash. There is a swath of grass, no longer mowed, that forces campers to detour through occupied campsites in order to reach the E-loop bathhouse. The little foot paths through the grass are difficult to locate and navigate after dark. The dumpsters and pump-outs are well located and easy to use. The bathhouses are always clean and well maintained. Roads and parking are in good condition. The fort and POIs are interesting and well maintained, though I was disappointed to see that one or two have been closed off to the public.I did find it a bit of a nuance and a hold-up to have to produce the Senior Pass and drivers license each time we entered the park. I thought that showing the campsite permit should suffice as authorization.

This is definitely a favorite place of ours to camp. Beautiful beaches, gulf and bay side, are within walking distance, rich national history down the road, and we love meeting people from places all across the country. I do have to give it one ding from this past year though, and that would be from the lack of lawn care. We've had several visits over the past few years and the lack of mowing left walking around less than desirable.

I and my partner had never stayed in a park before. Our experence was great. It was a peaceful and felt very private place to stay. After the park closes the only people in the campground are allowed. The wildlife was great. Already made plans to go back. If you do any traveling to Fed parks get a Fed park pass. It will save you the daily entance fee.
