First time spending Thanksgiving on the beach with our delicious take out dinner from one of the resorts.

We loved the camp ground, very quiet and beautiful. Our spot, on a corner was spacious and had a lovely tree. Walking distance to the beaches. I also had a great experience when I called with a question about our spot. A ranger (or host?) who took my message, walked over to look at the spot, and called me back with an answer. Excellent service. We also toured around the fort - very interesting history. Would love to come again.

This was our 2nd time camping at Fort Pickens. Let me tell you the 2 were so different. !st trip we arrived early and was able to set up before 1 o'clock no issues at all. The host and hostess were great. This time we got to camp at around 11 and our site was ready so we pulled in and started setting up. The hostess come over after we was done and told us we had to leave that we could not set up till 1. We told her we had done this last time and there was no issue. We asked if we could pay for an early check-in and she told us to leave. Then she and another host sat in the golf cars and watched us pack up. We come back at 1 and set up. This lady was like out to make us miserable. We pulled in and they told us we had to back in okay done then she come back next day and said we had a tire on the grass. We went and looked and the tire was barely touching. On top of that the bathrooms in section E are scary. The walls are nasty and 2 of the 4 did not even have handles working to turn shower on. The handle was laying in the floor. If you want a good bathroom go to C. For this to be a national park the facilities are lacking. Otherwise over looking the hostess the park in very nice just really have to watch for snakes.

Great place to camp. However Shower house and restrooms need to be fixed or improved. Some showers have broken hooks, or chairs. no place to hang or set dry clean clothes.Need a camp store or concession stand open longer hours and more selection of stock.

Really enjoyed being in the natural beach area without any high rise buildings in site. The campground was well taken care of. Some of the sites would be a little tight backing into. Over all had a great time. Also enjoyed going to the Fort and hearing the history . There is a board walk going to the beach on the Gulf side. To cold to use during our visit but a beautiful beach.

Bathrooms need to be upgraded. Poor facilities for a national park.

Clean clean clean!!This park is the perfect location, ocean, back bay, beach. Very quiet and the staff does and exceptional job at keeping the restrooms and grounds up to date and tidy.

We had a great time. Everything was wonderful, except for the heat, but it is summer time. We left a day early and tried to cancel out last day but were not able to on the website.

As usual Ft. Pickens was very enjoyable. The campground was very clean. It got very hot but the beach kept us cool with a steady wind and a light rain most every evening. The bathrooms are getting a little tired but usable and clean..
Hope to return next year.

Most of the sites in this campground dont have shade, we were fortunate that ours did. The size of the sites varies. We were on a corner and had a fairly large site. There is little visual privacy. The campground was clean. The showers and bathrooms were adequate. The E loop facility is the oldest and it doesnt appear that it is cleaned every day - which was needed. The shower floors (in and outside the shower stall) were very sandy. The campground is situated so that you have access to the Gulf and Pensacola Bay beaches. You can walk to the Fort from campground. There is limited biking - you can bike on the road, but the shoulder is narrow and in some places covered with sand. T-mobile cell service was poor, Internet isnt available. This campground does have recycling - the first Florida campground where weve found recycling in the seven weeks weve been in Florida!

We arrived a little early and unexpectedly found the Blue Angels were getting ready to practice for an upcoming show. Perfect way to wait for our site! Site was perfect for us with some shade and grass for the dog. With our bikes, we explored everywhere for the one night we were there. Got to be the only people at the fort in the morning. Watched an amazing sunset from the western part of the wall. Took the side road and found a completely empty beach on a beautiful morning and saw dolphins swim by. We didnt need to use the bath house, but think they were fine for a state park. Will definitely be back!

As always, the camping was very enjoyable. I miss the camping store. Wish it was still open. My one complaint was the condition of the showers. On 7/3-7/4 it was pitiful. The next day they were cleaned and it was a major improvement. The toilet areas were well kept. The problem may have been because of the holidays

Overall, it was a fun stay. We were able to get a nice, shaded area. Fair amount of space between campsites. Theres a small beach, thats walking distance, but theres a lot of seaweed there. We didnt swim in that one, but we went to another one at the park, that was nice. The bathhouses were disgusting though!!! and the AC was not working in the bathrooms. So, Id give the facilities a 1/5.

The campground is very nice! Beaches are some of the best in the world! The negative is rude camp host! Worry more about grass and half dead trees! I understand issue but don't be so rude! May consider before I wish to return!

Fort Pickens campground is the most relaxing place and offers the beautiful Gulf Beach and the Bay, areas of interest including the Fort and fishing piers.

We had a great time! The beach is so close, the boardwalk makes it so much easier to get to. Bring shower shoes and low expectations to the shower rooms (D/E loop). Loved every minute!

We spent 4 nights in a campsite in section E in a 30 foot Class C, and were very happy with the campsite. 1/2 mile in one direction and you are on the Gulf of Mexico, and 1/2 mile in the opposite direction you are sitting in the sand on Pensacola Bay. The Blue Angels practiced every day, sometimes flying right over your head at low altitude.
@KennethM666135 · Camped on Apr 1, 2022 at Campsite #E66
Loved this place. A little more crowded than I am used to, but we didnt spend much time at camper. Great for walking, biking, swimming ( you can choose the Gulf of Mexico or Pensacola Bay). There are lots of trails, a fort, white sand beaches. Hosts were friendly. Blue Angels practiced while we were there. We sat on the beach of Pensacola Bay to watch

I love the sea shore, live oaks and the fort. The campsite E66 required a long-g-g extension cord to access electricity. The bathroom for ladies was never cleaned (6 days)! The showers were private rooms - a plus! The metal ring for the fire prevented good ventilation for starting the fire. Had to use an electric fan. The dog beach was so far away-out of the National Seashore Park! We need one IN the campground area, PLEASE. The speed limit is 25 MPH on the drive in or out, so allow extra time.
