Nobody was consistent on rules and regulations. Anyone in charge had a different opinion and would change things up as they go along. The grass was not mowed and it was just not as nice as last year. I was very unhappy with our stay.

We always enjoy camping at Ft Pickens. The campers here are quiet and considerate and the campground is always clean. The beach is a short walk and there’s a boardwalk across the dunes which makes getting there easy.

We have stayed here several times over the years. It is a nice park with clean restrooms. I just wish they could have sewer hookups.

The campgrounds are very well kept and monitored by the park rangers. The restrooms are upgraded and clean. The showers are amazing and there is a laundry room too. You can get to the bay side of gulf side with a short walk. There are some great bike and walking trails. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded. The Blue Angels do their flight practice usually once a week. You can sit at your camper and watch the show.

We only were able to get a night here and it isnt exactly located conveniently for that stay - but it was a great experience and loved the environment, trails, and fort. We will be back.

We love this campground. It has everything we need to stay put and enjoy the beaches and Fort Pickens. Though showers are older style, the water is hot and pressure is acceptable (at least in bathhouse E). Only drawback is trying to get a site!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ft. Pickens campground and wondered how we had never heard if this gem before. The beaches, that were a short walk, were absolutely amazing. The white sand, sea shells, dolphins swimming nearby and lack of tourists made it magical for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the nearby fort as well. We only stayed 1 night- which wasn’t nearly enough, so we hope to be back again soon!

The national park area was great, large clean beaches, beautiful scenery, the fort was awesome to walk thru, the camp sites were a little small, area around them needed mowing they had clean bathrooms and showers.

We loved staying at Fort Pickens campground! The beach was beautiful and very quite with not many people. We enjoyed riding bikes on the trails and also seeing Fort Pickens. We would love to go back but it gets booked many months in advance so plan ahead!

Fort Pickens Campground is pretty nice. Water and electric only. Be sure and evaluate your length needed to park including tow vehicle or you will need to park in overflow. There are a lot of shorter sites and the whole campground is of a design that works better with shorter rigs. There is a laundry with two washer and dryers in campground loop D,C,D,E. This is a good area if you appreciate a more natural environment instead of a city. Also, there is a lot of good history and old structures related to the Fort and other military use in the area. There is a nice trail and the interior part of island is an interesting comparison of freshwater marsh and forest as compared to the beach or sound side.

excellent bathrooms/showers, easy to navigate sites with a trailer., good trails for walking, the fort is very interesting, quick walk to beach and bay, the daily $25 entry fee to the park (as opposed to the campground) keeps the crowd down. Only downside is that you need to get all your groceries on the mainland (20 minutes one way)

This is a place definitely making reservations for. Lots of hiking, biking and beautiful "beaching". We encountered quiet, friendly neighboring campers. Appreciated a clean laundry room with good machines. Sunsets on the beach are a main attraction.

Upon arrival, I found the 50amp svs was bad. I contacted the ranger station, and they had someone come over to see what's up. After they confirmed 50 amp svs was bad, 0v on leg 2 and tripping breaker, the camphost indicated maintenance would be over the next morning to fix. We used the 30amp svs in the mean time rather than picking up and relocating. The next morning, maintenance arrived and replaced the breaker. All is good. Thanks for the speedy, friendly and efficient svs.
