Gorgeous beach and dunes. Quiet nights and cool weather. Great for walking and biking.

Fun stay other than the campground closing one night.

We stayed 7 days on A loop. Sight was great very clean short walk to beach. Every host were kind and helpful if we needed anything. Bathrooms were hot but it is florida. We will be back next year

Fort Pickens is paradise! Camping far away from the tourism busy-ness, beautiful beaches and fishing, nice trails, and great facilities. Wi-fi is not strong and bathrooms could use a refresh, but it's worth it to be so close to the Gulf. Bring your fishing gear for on-the-beach surf fishing (pompano, red drum, black drum, Spanish mackerel, etc...).

I spent 54 days in Florida, this was my final stop before making my way home in NE Texas. Ft pickens was my favorite camp spot on my trip. The sites were very well maintained, park hosts were helpful but not micro managing. The amenities were better than any state or federal park I've ever used. In the laundry room they had a dish washing station. I have never seen that except at luxury resorts. The loops are very close walks to the surf and bay sides. I observed a few beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Ft Pickens was like a walk back in time. The rangers are very knowledgeable and engaging. The Blue Angels were right overhead practicing. Then the food just outside of the park... wow a short ride into town and eat anything you want. Peg Leg Pete's is awesome. I've already called friends and family and told them to reserve a week here. It's a must do camping destination.

Overall it was a verry good experience, however when the trash trucks come to dump the trash some spills out on the ground. Apparently, no one is responsible for cleaning this up. My cousin was walking in the area of the dumpsters and stepped on a broken bottle. The piece of glass went through her shoe into her foot and required a trip to the emergency room. Perhaps it could be added to the campground hosts duties to inspect the area around the dumpster when they go by them for things that need to be cleaned up.

Quiet, clean and excellent camp sites. Saw the Blue Angles practice. Visited the fort several times and also went to the visitors center and the store at the fort. Visitor center was great and provided history of the fort. Enjoyed going to Pensacola Beach twice during our 8 nights to eat out at local restaurants.

Loop A is great place that is more spacious than the other loop. Very close walk to the beach and close to bike/walking trails.

What a beautiful place!!! We can’t wait to return! One catch, they wouldn’t let us in for our first night due to a flooded road and flooded campground from a lot of rain the previous few days.

Professional and friendly Park Rangers, nice campground. Loop A has some dangerously low hanging branches on route around campground...be VERY careful!
