Great location and campground! From our campsite we were able to bicycle to Fort Pickens (incredible history) and to the beach (wow). An unexpected treat - two days of the Blue Angels flying overhead!

The Fort Pickens campground on Santa Rosa Island is beautiful and well-maintained. The glorious, white quartz, sand, blue skies, and aqua water were glorious. The only reason I gave it four stars is the bathrooms could use an update. They are certainly usable, but could use updated shower nozzles, and a few more hooks in the bathrooms. Not all of the showers have a bench. I do like that the showers are private and individually lock. The restroom/toilet area is fine. There are laundry facilities (you need quarters) and dishwashing areas. We camped in every section of the campground, A B, C, D and E. Expect to evacuate if strong storms approach. You must go off the island for any groceries, Publix is a short drive over the bridge. Pensacola is a lovely, drivable city that has a very nice Saturday outdoor market. A visit to the Naval Air Museum is a must, home of the Blue Angels.

It was clean park. Children are able to ride bikes. It was close to the beach. We enjoyed visiting the "fort" at Fort Pickens. We also visited the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center

My husband and I went there for our 18th year wedding anniversary and we had the best time! The camp site was clean and quiet. The ocean was beautiful and not crowded at all. We will be going back for sure!

This campground is one of the best! Our family had the best time with bike/walking trails the beach so close and the wonderful Old fort to explore!! Our only drawback here is the shower rooms need attention they are old and in need of repair! If they could fix them up this place would be 5 stars

Very nice camp ground with beautiful beeches. Sites are short and close together. Dump station for E loop needs attention. The dump portal cap is missing with rock used to partially cover it allow precipitation runoff fill the system (not good).

Get place to visit. Good size campsites and so much to do - hike the trails, visit the gulf & the bay beaches, kayak, visit the Fort. Beautiful beaches, & not at all crowded. Campground shower rooms could be a bit more convenient to use - kind of small & lack of dry benches in the rooms. Will definately be back.

Overall, a wonderful place. Please work on the flooding, add more dump station, and a camp store. A playground for the children would be great.

Great rate and location. Bathroom clean but the shower facilities need some work.

We LOVE this campground! It is such a gem! Beautiful trails connecting the loops which make for a pretty, leisurely walk, and close beach access, with beautiful, pristine beaches are our favorite things about this campground. We love visiting nearby Fort Pickens and the fact that this beach is quiet and uncrowded. Everyone at the campground has been super friendly both times we have visited. Definitely plan to come back!

Great Campsite and Experience. The only negative is the fact it is 9 miles to the nearest stores. A on site Camp Store with some necessities would be great or even just a concession stand.
