Always been a wonderful place with beaches on both sides. Only 1 bad thing to say slow your butts down please 5mph is the speed limit!

Campground was clean, level and with large spaces. It provided a great place to walk as well as a historical site to learn about its history.

Great location. Safe and lots to do in the area. Need more sewer hook up sites. NEED TO CUT THE GRASS!! We brought a weed eater to trim around our sites. The grass was knee deep! No excuse for the price to pay for a site. Hosts were awesome!

We were in Loop C and even with a couple good rains we were not bothered by any flooding. The water in the shower was always warm. Campground was quiet at night. We enjoyed biking to the Fort and walking on the beach. We took a trip over to Pensacola and climbed (177 steps) the Pensacola Lighthouse. We were able to see Fort Pickens from the top of the Lighthouse. Thanks for preserving such a wonderful place to visit.

It is past time to spend a little money on the campground. I appreciate the work is being done by the staff but it seems they are working with a very tight budget. In addition the lack of a camp store is a glaring omission. Plant a tree or two, maybe extend some of the pads. There is much that can be done. This is still my favorite and has been for over 40 years.

Park was well maintained. Laundry facility and restroom areas well kept. No wifi in camping area and wifi at discovery center was too poor to download the parks map.

Most everything was great. Only thing that I wasn't happy with was the lenth of the grass. It was almost knee high in some spots of our site. And when the lawn mowers were there I moved all my stuff so they would cut it and they still didnt!

Overall it was a good experience, the camp ground is great. Was a little difficult getting our rig into the site due to the roads being so narrow. We made some ruts in the grass. The first evening the 50 Amp breaker did not work. We contacted the wrong camp host not the one for our loop and let her know of the problem. We connected to an empty spots breaker to get power while we waited to see what was going on. Pretty soon two ladies in blue shirts drive up in a golf cart. First words from her were "Nice Ruts!" and it went down hill from there. I tried to explain about the ruts but she wouldnt let me talk. So I started to explain the breaker problem and she said she knew what a breaker was. She then told me I would have to move to spot c29 which apparently is the emergency spot. I asked about just connecting to an empty spot and was told "NO! you can't do that, you need to move now. In the morning maintenance will come and fix the breaker and you will move back to this spot!" To put it mildly she is rude! My brother in law who was in C32 was unloading stuff from their car and she yelled at them that they could not park there and needed to move the car now! She then got in the golf cart with the other lady and drove across the grass to the road behind us. She really takes the host out of camp host! Our loops Camp Host came by a few minutes later introduced himself, and welcomed us to the camp ground he was great, easy to talk with and did not yell at us. He saw what was going on, and said that he checked and no one was coming in to the empty spot for the evening and to stay connected. He said it made no sense to move. We told him that if anyone did come in we would switch to a 30 amp dog bone and we would be good. He said "Sounds like a plan!" Next morning maintenance came by, fixed the breaker and all was good. we were not the only ones who had a bad time with the two lady camp hosts!

Nice campground. Showers are in need of repairs ... shower door closer arms broken, door latches/locks nonfunctional, showers that do not shut off fully and could use a little paint.

Always enjoy this place. Many of the sites are short and many require an extension cord. They were pretty adamant about no early check ins this year using the excuse that the site had to be cleaned. Parked nearby and observed no cleaning until we were 'allowed' to pull in. It would make more sense if they just told us to accept the site on an as-is basis if we arrived early and the pad was vacant.

Very nice campground. We are very disappointed that they will be limiting the size of rigs (<28ft.) as of January 1st. It is understandable based on lack of care and respect by other campers that we witnessed during our stay. The roads are narrow and the sites are difficult to back into especially with a large rig, but it is doable with some care. Because some people have chosen to just drive off the pavement and cut corners instead of taking their time, the sides of the road and entrance to each campsite has been worn out and holes have developed. Please respect our public campgrounds so that all of us can enjoy these national treasures.

We've been coming to Ft. Pickens for many years and always loved it, so we were anticipating the same experience we've always had. We were truly shocked and saddened to see the park in a rather run down, shabby state. The grass was all overgrown, and our fire ring was so surrounded by weeds it was almost unusable. I realize there has been a great deal of rain recently, but I've never seen the sites so torn up by deep muddy ruts as this time. Mostly, the entire campground just looked unkempt and not well managed. The camp store being permanently closed and standing unused is also real shame. As I said, we were most disappointed - the only thing going for this campground now is the close proximity to the beach and the national seashore. Not sure when or if we'll return.
