Campground hosts were very crabby and not friendly at all. Bathhouses need a good cleaning and updating. 2 nd visit here and do not plan to return

Site E20, very little privacy. Campers across from us had a huge bright light on a tripod that ruined our ability to sit outside in our site. Never used the bathhouse so cannot comment on its condition. I did appreciate the soft exterior lighting. The Fort was very interesting and enjoyable to tour. Beaches were beautiful.

Overall a good visit. Meet some nice folks camping close by to our site. That improved our overall experience. Restrooms were kept clean however they didnt provide a small trash can inside. Dish cleaning station was a nice amenity. Fort and campground loops are connected by Florida Trail which were bike friendly.
Must visit the old Fort Pickens. Peg Leg Pete's is a great place to eat.

On our way back into Florida from a 13 week road trip we stopped at Fort Pickens for one over night but were so happy there that we stayed for 2! We loved the Fort! The beach is beautiful. It was great to have a separate sink to do dishes in!
a nice place. the camp grounds are clean. the showers need work. I prefer to have a sewer hook up. I'm not a big fan of the idea of having to pay to park every time you go through the gate. but you do get to see the Blue Angles alot which is awesome. we were told it a great place to go shelling. not on this trip but that's the way it goes sometimes. that's not the fault of the camp ground.... just saying. maybe next time. we'll come back
The camp grounds were not mowed for more than half the week we were there. And the bath rooms are new buildings but o my goodness they are the nastiest Bathrooms we have been in and they were so hot inside you were sweating again before you could get out of them. Who ever supposed to clean bathroom and mow grass. Need to be fired and someone that actually cares about their work hired. The campgrounds are never empty so they are making money. So clean campgrounds up.
Fort Pickens is a very special place. We can’t wait to return to the amazing wildlife, beautiful beach and, of course, the Blue Angels. Outstanding experience for us. Bring your binoculars!
