Campground was pretty nice. Parking at camp site was very limited as the spaces dont accommodate at 18 ft RV and a truck. Girlfriend recently had surgery on wrist and hip and was using crutches. Parking situation limited her access next to rv and had to walk a ways with a crutches to get to truck. Park ranger and camp host not helpful.

I love this campground and the entire park. The only bad thing about the park is the showers. They are in need of desperate repair. The good thing about the showers is the water pressure.

The campsites were level, paved with surrounding grass and the shower and bathroom facilities were clean. Being ablecto walk to yhe beach was perfect. The only negative was the campsite was in an open lot with no privacy.

Loved this spot!! Disappointed in the upcoming changes with trailer sizes. Going to lose a lot of local and out of town buisness.

Great Campground with wonderful beaches, walking trails, and access to the fort. The bathrooms were new and spotless. I would stay again.

The clean, white as sugar, sandy beach was spectacular and extremely beautiful. Dont miss walking over the boardwalk to catch the sunrise. It is truly breathtaking. Although the campsites were short even for our small 25 rv and Jeep toad, the sites were level and spacious. Once the new trees start to grow, they will produce more shade and privacy. The site numbers were clearly marked with paint on each driveway. There was a camp host on the property to let campers know in a tactful way if any tires were not on the pavement or sticking out on the street. The gate needed a code in order to enter after hours which was a secure feature. The campground was quiet overall and we cant wait to return to Fort Pickens National Campground. Five stars and totally recommended.

Love the campground. Great set up. Easy to get camper in lot. All of lots are paved. The only thing I didn't like is bathrooms and shower area wasn't air conditioning.

We really enjoyed being there. However we had the most rain the area had experienced in awhile. We left a day earlier because there was so much water on the road. Good thing we did because they closed the road the next morning

We returned to Fort Pickens as soon as Campsite Loop C reopened. It was perfect, just like the many times before. Unfortunately, Hurricane Sally made other arrangements for everyone. We can't wait for things to be repaired so we can return.

The campground itself was extremely nice. We stayed in Loop E and did not feel crowded by other campers. The restroom facilities were clean. The hiking trails in and around the campground were great, especially for riding bikes. A walk to the beach took just minutes. The visit to Fort Pickens itself was especially informative. I think one of the big pluses was the fact that since this was a National Seashore, it was nice to not see any other development on the beach. You could literally walk for miles and see nothing but beautiful white sand beaches. I would definitely stay here again.

This campground is at the end of an island near beautiful beaches. Fort Pickens is near by. Really place to visit.

This is a very, very remote campground at the end of a 4 mi. long, 25 mph road. It's hard to find the campground and if you pass it you'll end up in a narrow dead end. The campground is quite crowded, and there's little room for vehicles, which must remain on the asphalt, providing for some very tight navigating through the park. While it is a dog friendly location, dogs are NOT allowed on the beaches, which will incur a $125 fine for violations. It's heavily policed and there are more rules than you can shake a stick at. You are required to carry two red badges with you at all times in case you are stopped by law enforcement: one for your vehicle and one for your person. The trails are very narrow and all the historic forts are surrounded in chain link fencing. They advertise a campground store, but it's shuttered indefinitely, which the Rangers do not mention. None of the spots have full hookups, but there is ONE dump station, which you'll likely have to wait in line to use. The roads are so narrow and the spots packed so closely together you'll have people peeing their dogs between your picnic table and front door, and walking right through your spot. Navigating the park at night is like walking a gauntlet. On the positive side, there are miles of trails and white sand beaches, but the surf is quite rough, and the Blue Angels apparently are based right across the bay. However, the whole experience is akin to being in a concentration camp; albeit a nice one. By the end I was looking forward to leaving and I probably won't be back. If towing a trailer you will have to unhitch and park sideways, or use the overflow parking.
